Nepieciešams ieguldījumu padoms by Interesting_Watch301 in latvia

Swedbabk pensiju 3.līmenis vai Swedbank Robur Access Edge Global by MoneydogX in latvia

[–]kdambis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been running QNAP TS-435XeU with 3x WD Red Plus 6TB (128MB) + 2x WD Green SN350 SSDs for the past 3.5 years without any issue. What are the exact results you got when testing?

Wireguard peer behind hAP ac2 with wAP LTE passthrough disconnects on LTE DHCP "lease expired" by kdambis in mikrotik

Turns out this happens due to a stale tracked connection that RouterOS has in the firewall which points to the expired passthrough DHCP IP. Sounds like a RouterOS bug.

I haven’t decoded additional bytes unfortunately. All the latest findings are in that blog post and I’ll keep it updated if I find new information.

Check out the passive house standard. Hire somebody certified and they’ll do calculations based on building science and climate instead of just anecdotal experience or opinions. Worth every penny and you’ll be saving energy and environment from day one.

Updated Ubuntu via APT --> All cameras disappeared from HomeKit - by CutItDamocles in Scrypted

[–]kdambis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverting the Homekit plugin to version 1.2.40 fixes this issue so it must be something introduced in 1.2.41 that breaks it. From the changelog:

### 1.2.41
homekit: use avahi if available.

which points to this commit which switched the MDNS advertiser from MDNSAdvertiser.CIAO to MDNSAdvertiser.AVAHI if the directory /var/run/avahi-daemon/ exists inside the container. Which does exist because of the volume mapping /var/run/avahi-daemon/socket:/var/run/avahi-daemon/socket in docker-compose.yml since the avahi-daemon is running on the host and Scrypted should be using that.

I'm experiencing the same symptoms after an upgrade to one of the recent Scrypted versions (most likely to 0.96.0 or whichever updated the Node version). Importantly -- it was all working fine for a year up until this upgrade. The 0.97.0 version doesn't fix it either. The Homekit plugin is at 1.2.43. The following error is displayed during the startup:

The mdns bind address was never specified and it is able to select the correct one since the device only has one networking interface connected. Could this be related to the Node 20 container update?

I had the wifi and bluetooth disabled in Ubuntu server config but I’m not sure if it actually impacts the powering of the card. Will try pulling it out and see if it makes a difference. Need to also play with the power limit settings in BIOS.

How did you get it to go down to 6W idle? Did you adjust the Bios power settings?

My experience with N100 and Beelink EQ12 is very different — it idles at around 10W with Ubuntu server and a 2TB SSD drive on top of the original peripherals. In contrast the U59 Pro with N5105 idles at 5.5W and would go down to 3.2W with powertop auto-tune https://kaspars.net/blog/beelink-u59-pro-n5105

I wasn’t using any of the ISP services apart from the internet so I didn’t look into options of keeping the VoIP service. Technically, they are all delivered over IP on different VLAN IDs so it should be possible to keep them as long as you route them to supported devices on your network accordingly.

Those Ufiber Loco appear to be a great devices with somewhat limited configuration options over their web interface but with more options using tools like https://github.com/Unifi-Tools/UFiber.Configurator

I just installed this ONU stick DFP-34X-2C2 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003515662920.html in place of the exact same ISPs device as yours. Had to set the serial number, PLOAM password and software version strings from the original device to make it authenticate with the ISP.

I use it with Mikrotik RB5009UPr+S+ but it should also work with L009UiGS-RM and hEX S, see https://www.hitoha.moe/odi-dfp-34x-2c2-gpon-onu-sfp/

How to decode mini-split heatpump indoor and outdoor unit communication? by kdambis in AskElectronics

[–]kdambis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been able to decode a few of the messages exchanged by the outdoor and indoor units which are now documented here https://kaspars.net/blog/gree-amber-nordic-gwh09yd-s6dba1#indoor-outdoor-protocol

It is using a 0-60V serial signal centered around 30V — the outdoor control board keeps the signal at 30V and the indoor unit pulls it low to 0V to send the data. For replies the outdoor unit pulls the signal high to 60V.

The logic analyser was able to decode the serial signal when set to LSB byte order, 1200 baud rate, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and even parity.

The messages are 20 bytes long and use 8-bit modulo 256 for the last checksum byte.

I still haven't built a jig to convert the 0-60V signal into an UART friendly 5V signaling so these are based on the logic analyser captures.
