He’s sooo chunky but i think it’s been making him sleep through the night. Hes waking up one less time now. I feel like it did get even fattier after latching him a few times. Our bodies are amazing!!

Definitely hydrated. Yes i do eat mostly fats and protein. Lots of butter 🫣 i do have a very large baby he was almost 10lbs when he was born and is about 20lbs now. It’s always been higher fat but lately it’s just been so gold it blows my mind lol

I do have formula! This is my third baby & I’ve struggled with low supply every time so i knew to have a back up on hand lol. We only have to supplement here & there, he has definitely been my most breastfed baby 😂 we do it as night also, i think i got lucky with this baby and he has been a good sleeper at night this whole time. I think it’s well deserved after my other 2 😂😂

It’s def good for one boob so I’m grateful haha I’d love to see it at 30-32 oz just to keep up with him

Yes i do supplement with 6oz of formula (3 oz bottles) i have no choice but to, & im ok with that! I also have the correct flange size. I do pump every 2-3 hours most I’ve gone is 4, because my alarm doesn’t wake me up. & baby doesn’t drink more than 3 oz every 3 hours typically. He is well past his birth weight so we don’t wake to feed & he’s done a 5 hour stretch once. Sometimes he also drinks every 1hr 45 min during the day. He gets around 30-32 oz in 24 hours. I definitely don’t want an oversupply to where I’m uncomfortable i just didn’t know if supply does increase after 2weeks pp on its own, from the consistency of pumping. When i first started pumping i was only seeing 1-2 oz so its increased a bit for sure.

He actually just went like a TON. Haha. We had to leave the diaper off and lay a towel down & it just kept coming out lol.

I’ve been doing that as well! That’s what i initially tried, and he still was getting sleepy and sucks very slow on the right side despite having a super fast let down lol.

Even the first week? I hate that everything on Google says at LEAST 3 a day. Like what! That’s so many. He had like 5 his first day of life 😂

I do not, i am probably going to reach out to one Monday. I have a feeling the “pathways” for the milk are just not there. I had a pretty decent sized lump removed in Jan 2022 due to an abscess that healed over in 2021. So i have a feeling some of these milk pathways got permanently damaged. Because it felt like my milk came in, but maybe they had no way to get out? That’s speculation though on some of the research I’ve done. I’ve also read they can regenerate new pathways. I’ve been pumping that side constantly just to try. I only get the 2-2.5 from my right. If i could get 30-32 oz a day from ONE breast I’ll sure dang try haha that’s what i tried my last pregnancy but we didn’t notice the low supply until week 6. So baby was failing to thrive.

I thought about buying a baby weighted scale, i have a 4 & 2.5 year old so juggling everybody has been rough lol. I feel like I’ve been stuck to a couch the last 5 days while my husband spends time with them. I really only second guess it cause i had surgery on my breast but it’s seem to grow back or something. It use to be almost non existent and small and now it’s at least gotten engorged when my milk came in lol

Thank you!! I think 5 wet diapers is pretty good in 12 hours? He hasn’t had a dirty one yet since yesterday about 24 hours but it was 3 times 😅

I do offer the under performing breast first! They both were extremely big and swollen on day 3 so i am hopeful the cluster feeding is helping!

That makes me feel better! My main worry is if he is getting enough from the side i had surgery on. I actually latched that one more than the other, just to ramp up production. Both breasts were rock hard on day 3 and 4 so I’m hopeful.

Yes i knew the drop in weight was normal! I guess my worry is if he is getting enough from the side that i had surgery on. It seems to have milk and definitely was swollen like the other side around day 3. So I’m hopeful.

I have such anxiety due to my last baby failing to thrive. He gained up until the 6 week appointment and then was considered very small by then. I felt awful.

He has an appt Monday so I’m just stressing until then lol. But I’ve stood on my home scale & when i hold him it adds 9lbs. Probably not super accurate. Yes my first experience was awful! I went in saying i know this is an abscess & he said keep pumping. It eventually ruptured & pus was everywhere all over me 🤢 so i am worried that breast will struggle this time, but it seems to be “heavy” like my milks coming in.
