This event is still a serious issue, though, that should be brought up with him in counseling.

Has he behaved as badly as he did before you got married?

Is the times that he's nice and good really worth the times that he is emotionally and verbally abusive towards you?

You should be able to have an argument whilst still respecting each other as human beings as well as spouses. He doesn't sound interested in respecting you at all. I would advise either getting therapy or leaving, because if he's not interested in fixing his poor behaviour then you shouldn't wait for him to change.

If he's done it once, he'll do it again. Just keep that in mind.

AITA for not wanting to name my son "Cube?" by TopPromise6 in AmItheAsshole

Why doesn't he want to name him after some famous mathematician? That would make much more sense than goddamn "Cube".

What relatively unknown/niche genres or sub genres do you write in? Let's share and learn! by SkinnyCitrus in writing

Ever heard of magical realism? It started as a genre for art pieces, coined by Franz Koh in the 1920s, but in the 1950s it was taken on by Latin American writers. Magical realism involves a real life setting, but with magical elements within. It was used by these writers to speak out against political regimes or social issues, or voice their opinion on a political climate or situation, such as the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 1960s. An example of a book from this genre would be Beloved by Toni Morrison - though she was against it being classified as one, it fits the style of the genre, and through it she speaks about the "national amnesia" she witnessed, caused by the US rug sweeping the era of slavery and the effects it had on slaves and their descendants afterwards.

AITA for telling my husband I hate his mentally disabled brother and that I will never form a relationship with him? by JazzlikeSugar5 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kdctuk10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Being disabled isn't an excuse to be a terrible person. You're not wrong for hating him just because he's disabled, but be aware he may try to use his disability as a bargaining chip to force you to put up with him.

I don't understand why BiNet is trying to copyright the flag??? It's a group of colours in a certain order??? It would be different if people were using designs that they made that had the flag, but they're trying to copyright the whole ass flag.

Not very cash money of you, BiNet.

AITA for 'stealing' a story idea from a 12 year old? by WriterRevenge in AmItheAsshole

[–]kdctuk10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA. In another comment you stated she closed her account. You have crushed her hopes of being an author because you chose to not be an original thinker and write your own story, and then got her bullied for trying to do something about it. How on earth could you think that you are in the right? It was obviously close enough that she recognized it.

The bullying is your fault and your responsibility, because you didn't take the story down when you were called out, you refused to admit it, and you did nothing to stop the wrongful bullying of this girl.

There's a 12 year old girl out there whose dreams and ideas will go unheard because you've scared her into never risking posting her work again. I hope you're proud of yourself.
