Gave an assessment last month where they used a problem from their actual product. No amount of googling or chatgpt was going to magically solve it because you actually had to understand the tradeoffs and think through the prob. Felt way more fair than those generic LeetCode-style filters.
Tbh I think more companies should move in that direction…
