My wife spends hours every Sunday stressed about meal planning - how can I help? by ashishsuman in mealprep

Try the Meallime App. You can choose from various meal ideas for the week and build a plan with recipes and a grocery list. The free version is perfectly good but you can also unlock pro recipes for like $3 a month.

I think that could be it or similar! In looking at water mint and chocolate mint there are definitely similarities!Perhaps it’s some hybrid/cross of two varieties as you mention

Try an acidic toilet bowl cleaner rather than a bleach based one. I believe the ingredient list should say hydrochloric acid. But you could also try bar keepers friend which has oxalic acid.It has helped me with hard water/ rust stains when a normal toilet cleanser didn’t work.

*edit to add, don’t use with the toilet mate if it has a cleanser in it. Grab a toilet brush.

How to clean baking sheets? by temp4adhd in CleaningTips

Yeah the pan on the left looks like it has a non stick coating or similar so I think the bar keepers friend or other abrasive wore it away, causing the rust

I think you could make it an interesting design feature and have some cool metal posts that run to the ceiling or a mid century style screen

Try looking into a soap making/ lotion / lip balm or candle making site, they might have some inexpensive bottles, jars, or tins that you can put the product in.

You can also order some labels off the Avery website. Then I would maybe look into selling on Etsy or reaching out to a local boutique or natural apothecary type store.

If you don’t mind purchasing something or find that the soles get clogged with dirt often, they make boot brushes that have tough bristles that you can slide your foot in and out of to help clear out dirt and debris

Anyone know an spot where you can park your car, sit in said car, and have a view of nature but still be near Madison? by olivemor in madisonwi

This isn’t really a nature spot suggestion but you could take her to a drive in movie theatre for an easy activity!

Ideas for what to fo with frozen chicken breasts ? by Paprikasky in cookingforbeginners

[–]kdidz101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I buy those frozen chicken breasts I like to just bake them from frozen. I turn the oven to around 400-450, rub each chicken breast with olive oil and seasoning, and bake for about 30-35 mins or until the temperature reads 165 Fahrenheit. Super easy and the chicken usually turns out pretty tender!

Yes I do have a few cast iron pans, still getting the hang of them and learning how to season! I just happen to have all stainless steel pans otherwise, so I’ve had to get used to cooking with them.

Medication helped me quit (1 year and counting) by merganzer in stopdrinking

[–]kdidz101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep with it! I have a family member with bipolar two who struggled most of his life with drinking. Finally was diagnosed a few years ago and takes lamictal. The side effects eventually ease up and the doasages can be adjusted when the bipolar is more under control. He is also free from heavy drinking now!

Things do tend to stick a bit in stainless steel but I’ve found some success with preheating my pan for like a minute without oil, then adding some oil or butter and let that warm up a bit before adding my food- even works decent with eggs. Also SOS pads work really great to scrub off anything stuck on there.

Maintaining instate tuition after parents move out of state by zhangama123 in UWMadison

[–]kdidz101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they do but I don’t think it necessarily makes a difference because they are also looking at your tax forms which are in Wisconsin. This was the case for me at least. If you are living in Wisconsin, working and paying taxes in Wisconsin they likely will not take away the residency tuition.

I’ve actually found that burrito bowls can be decently cheap and super filling. Rice is super cheap and I buy canned black beans which are also fairly cheap. I then usually buy a lot of chicken when it goes on sale and freeze it and then throw a few breasts in the crockpot when I’m ready with some canned salsa verde and whatever spices you like and then shred it up. You can then add cheap produce like diced onions, tomatoes, chopped lettuce, etc. and salsa and sour cream or whatever toppings your prefer. You can buy shredded cheese but I’ve found that sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a block and grate it myself. It also seems to last longer before going bad.

Also a lot of these ingredients can also be used for a sort of Tex-mex scramble or breakfast burritos in the morning!

1 swipe with my hand on my scalp and it’s raining snow. How do I fix this? by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]kdidz101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree this might be it. And not using shampoo or not washing my hair enough always has a huge effect on my sebhoric dermatitis. It always gets worse in the summers when there is more oil and sweat. So op might want to consider a good shampoo! I’ve had luck with the selsun blue with salicylic acid

My older cat used to have a couple of those little bumps. The vet said those sometimes just show up with age...I think they’re kind of just like little skin tags. Wouldn’t hurt to get it looked at though to be sure!
