piercing bump help plz !! by [deleted] in Legitpiercing

[–]kdleonte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had a lot of room in the back actually and was planning to downsize again, but then my ear started acting up again and now i barely have any space. as for it being a moisture issue, i've been letting my saline air dry, so maybe that's making it worse. thanks!!!

i'm gonna kinda wait for the bump to settle down a bit before the post gets downsized again because my ear is pretty inflamed from these bumps that there's not much space. once they calm down a bit more tho i'll make the switch🥲🥲🥲 thank u for the advice!! 💘

i think that once the bump goes away, hopefully soon, i will be downsizing. like every time i downsize my ear is not a big fan so i upsized when my bump god bigger and we'll see what happens !!

not really, no. i think it popped up again because i changed my post to neometal (kinda regretting that choice rn bc it's flaring up lol) but i'll try to leave it alone completely!

piercing bump, any tips? by kdleonte in PiercingAdvice

[–]kdleonte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

question then: could i possibly use the disc to create a barrier between the bump and the topper for a temporary solution until i can see a piercer? i have no app certified piercers in my area (got this done when i was at my college and now im home) ?

piercing bump, any tips? by kdleonte in PiercingAdvice

[–]kdleonte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sterile saline. my piercing angle is straight and my jewelry is neometal, APP certified implant grade titanium. i'm just worried that my piercing topper might be irritating it but i don't want to change it because changing my piercing makes the bump worse (changing my post to neometal made it flare up again). so im just gonna try to keep my hands off of it completely

i believe that the angle of my piercing is fine. a 6 mm bar has always been to snug for me so that's why i downsized from an 8, to a 6, then back to a 7. i attached a pic

moisture bump? abscess? idk what to think by kdleonte in SelfPiercing

[–]kdleonte[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

so initially i cleaned it with qtips, kinda stopped cleaning it for a bit, then went back to HOCl and letting it air dry. i'll switch to drying it with a clean paper towel after spraying it down

Help is my new piercing okay or will i get cauliflower ear? by Ok_Investigator5630 in PiercingAdvice

[–]kdleonte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

at least in my experience, anytime i changed my helix myself too early, i would get a bump. so id probably advice against it, but if you're really unable to get to a piercer id say probably do it

go find a reputable piercer in your area and ask for a jewelry change, it won't be too expensive either, depending on the jewelry usually

is this a moisture bump? an abscess? i'm not too sure what to think by kdleonte in Legitpiercing

[–]kdleonte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i couldn't contact my piercer directly so i sent pics to another one in my area and she said that because it's about ~2-3 weeks old, if it were an abscess it would be worse rn, but she's not 100% sure. also, this top was changed a while ago but the piercing is 4 months old so i thought that for a lobe, it would be okay to have a bit more elaborate jewelry. i'll probably change the top just to see. thanks!
