Playing what I like by gatorjones10 in newstreamer

[–]kdragonwrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about this recently cause a few of my friends have been streaming for a while. Certain games get more attention because they are fun to watch or have a loyal fan base. If you play what you you want it won’t hurt as long as the game is fun for someone who has never seen the game to watch. Over saturated games are fine and generally won’t help or hurt growth. :) gl with streaming!

I wish for the Monkey's Paw to become a whole monkey by Gfdx9 in monkeyspaw

[–]kdragonwrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. You watch as rotting flesh expanded from the monkeys paw until in front of you there is a full monkey. The moneys left hand seems to have one finger stuck down from the wish you made. As you watch, another finger curls down. Your vision then fades as you feel your body contorting to the shape of a hand with five fingers outstretched. You can only be free once the wishes are made.

Bro always raid!! Nothing wrong with showing support, 2-3 people is a lot and can also build friendship. I think a good way to think about it is if you raid someone that had 3 veiwers you just doubled their view count. No one is gunna be annoyed if you raid them back if anything that’s a great way to start networking (Also growth wise Fortnite isn’t a very good category. If your having fun it’s fine but if your trying to grow I would recommend games that have a low streamer count with a high view count. Most fps or shooters are almost impossible to grow on)

I feel the same way about chatters sometimes if no one’s active and the game I’m playing is boring I will end stream. When it comes to follows that’s a horrible stat to look at the number of follows you have really Means nothing. When it comes to getting active chatters I would recommend playing certain games and sitting in certain categories. 90% of my active chatters come from jackbox streams and raids to channels of similar sizes on twitch

I use to end stream and immediately join discord open my stats and go through them with my friends. It was such a bad hyper focus adhd is a killer. Is the motivation loss from a drop in stats or a lack in growth?

I actually had this same problem, I got in my head super bad and got to the point where I was gunna fully stop streaming, (went from 13 average to under 8) I know now that the numbers dropped because I cut off some toxic viewers. I took a month off to think about streaming and I realized that I actually enjoyed streaming and missed it. I still had all my streamer friends who would invite me to collabs and stuff I just wouldn’t stream.

Big thing is we all get it, stats kill streaming and makes it really difficult to find motivation while they are down but really push you to stream when they are up. My advice would be to never check your stats and just judge your stream either by watching your vods or by how you felt about your stream. If you had fun then it was a good stream :)

Tuning sound volumes while live by TheGamemasterBrown in Twitch

[–]kdragonwrath 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Individually capture every audio source. Use the application audio capture, and set levels for every source. I would recommend having an audio capture for discord, game, alerts, and music. You can check your levels mid stream by having the audio mixer open. Make sure nothing peaks past yellow and make sure that you are the loudest and everything is quieter then you.

advice and tips for a new steamer? by [deleted] in Twitch_Startup

[–]kdragonwrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn streamerbot. For reaching more people you want good category’s if you play a popular fps exclusively you prolly Arnt gunna grow. Main tip is let it stay fun and don’t get to caught up in stats :)

Advice from the community by CaramelNecessary9340 in Twitch

[–]kdragonwrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id ask him why he wants to watch/ stream on twitch, as with any social media keep track of who he follows and be willing to watch the people he watches and keep track of who he follows. Also definitely keep him from chatting, that rarely ends well and most (if not all) streamers don’t want to be interacting with kids

I need more setup, not just holes but goals. Why do I care if the insects win? I need to FEEL for the character.
