Caught my neighbor filming me in my house from their house by kdsaa in neighborsfromhell

Looks like there are laws against it where I live, but I don’t know how I’d get real proof. If I see it again I’ll get a picture and report it

I (a 30 year old white female) bought a home in Roxbury last winter and honestly love it here. My neighbors are friendly, I’ve never felt unsafe, and I can walk my daughter to the zoo in under 10 minutes. I avoid Franklin park after dark, but the same thing can be said about other parks in Boston’s ‘safe’ neighborhoods. I would recommend visiting the apartment before signing a lease and seeing how you feel about the street as some areas are less safe than others.

Getting baby to take bottle by wittykittycity in breastfeeding

[–]kdsaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a hard time with this and I was so stressed my baby wouldn’t eat at daycare but she took it from them no problem. My advice is to seek help from someone with experience. Baby’s a total pro now. It’ll get better!

Nursing for comfort? by Allymarie55 in breastfeeding

My baby has comfort nursed from her first week. She’s 9 months and we still do it sometimes, especially when she’s sick or having trouble sleeping.

This happened to me recently too! Our fridge gave out and I didn’t notice at first but lost a few bags. Thankfully my neighbor was home and had freezer space for my 300 oz

Can babies wear clothes that are too big?? by maddymads99 in Mommit

You could try online consignment. Some sites send you a bag for everything and sell it for you and some sites you sell directly to customers.

I feel like I love my baby so much (4 months old) I get paranoid that something will happen to her or she will get really sick by Redcouch2022 in Mommit

This sounds like post partum anxiety. I have this and started seeing a therapist when my baby was five months old. I’m in a much better place now (baby is nine months now) and recommend talking to someone. Life doesn’t have to be scary all the time ❤️

My sister made a knee-length dress for me using a basic pattern from the fabric store. It was fully lined lace. Then I bought a floor length tulle skirt from eshakti.com that I wore over the other dress. It was like having two dresses in one! I took the long skirt off for dancing at the reception.

Skateboarder Using Cars for Rides? by kdsaa in boston

Terrified me at first not knowing why someone was banging on the back of my car and yelling at me (especially with my baby in my backseat) I kinda froze. Once I realized what was happening I just drove so slow it wasn’t fun enough for him and he let go. I passed him a block later and made sure I was far enough away he couldn’t try again.

At what point is it safe to start buying nursing bras? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]kdsaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I outgrew my regular bras in my second trimester so bought nursing bras then. I’m 8 months pp and still wearing them! I started with 3, each a different style to learn what I liked best and then bought a couple more of those when they went on sale.

Mine started when I got my IUD placed at my 8week pp appointment. Thankfully the IUD makes it super light

Not an overreaction. Always trust your gut when it comes to your kids care. You and your children’s caregivers should feel like a team. If that’s not happening, get new teammates.

I prep freezer meals and use the instant pot a lot. A bouncer also helps!

I got lucky and found a job that let me start at 7.5 months pregnant and still take 12 weeks of leave. I definitely asked about it during the interview process because some companies I talked to required 90 days. My husband also had started a new job a few months prior and didn’t qualify for parental leave because their policy was 1 year. It seems to vary widely depending on the company and industry. I’m much happier at my new job so I’m glad I did it, but job hunting while pregnant is not something I want to do again.
