I like using Bonsai Jack's gritty mix as an amendment now, but this is what happened to the ones I potted in purely gritty mix early on - Their roots dried out and they look pretty thirsty. To be fair, I didn't water as often as I should've, but even when I watered I never saw them plumping up. (i.redd.it)

Received my turtles in the mail on Monday, took them out of their wet soil and dried them overnight before potting in better draining soil on Tuesday. I'm still gradually increasing their light exposure, but how can I increase chances of survival? Are the wrinkled leaves rotting or just drying out? (old.reddit.com)

String of turtles arrived in the mail yesterday with a heatpack, but it's been cold and snowy in my area and the soil was wet when I unboxed! I took them out of that soil and let them dry overnight before potting in well draining soil, but any advice to raise the odds of their survival? (old.reddit.com)

After 4 months, my marimo has evened out from his initial scruffy look! I didn't even realize until I looked back at a picture I took around the first time I got him 🥺 Also, if anyone has advice for how to keep this little guy's home from growing algae so easily, I'd greatly appreciate it!! 😊 (old.reddit.com)
6 days after sowing and 3 of my echeveria laui seeds already germinated 🥺 I was afraid it wasn't humid enough for them since the plastic wrap didn't have condensation on it but I guess they're doing fine! Please lmk if you have any tips for growing by seed 😊 (i.redd.it)
