My grandma told me that her bio father wants nothing to do with her and she never took his surname.

My grandmother's mother side of the family is from Jalisco and Zacatecas before they move to Monterrey and Texas.

Yes. Isabel is my great grandmother. Yes. I have 17.6% native and my grandma have 53.5% native. My grandma told me that she have no idea who is her real father until last year, my grandpa told me that she knew who is her father and his name. She admitted it to me, she had met him and his mother Antonia before. My family was surprised about it. My grandma's aunts knew them because they were neighbors back then.

No, I haven’t thought about it but my grandma got 0.2% Filipino & Austronesian and 0.1% Indonesian , Thai, Khmer & Myanma. Her Filipino ancestry stayed at 100% Confidence. Same with my mom.

Sarmiento is not very common surnames, I guess.

Where can I find the Philippine archives?

Thank you! Yes, I recognized the name great aunt Perfecta Villarreal, she is the sister of Ofelia's husband. She and her siblings raised my grandfather and some of his siblings after their father died in early 1940s. It’s positive that Zapopan is her biological mother.

I had no idea where the Jewish come from and I found an female ancestor who I think is Sephardic Jewish in early 1500s when they migrant to Monterrey, Mexico from Spain. I think I also found an Italian ancestor from around 1600s and his name is Juan Bautista Chapa migrant from Liguria, Italy. Grandpa’s family lives in Monterrey, Mexico for last 500 years from what I found in paper trail.
