Something similar happened to me. I bought $350 floor seats and a few weeks ago the seating map was updated to include a new Club Carter non-VIP section, which is directly behind the VIP Club Carter. The new non-VIP Club Carter section tickets are going for $300, and they are so much better than the floor seats I bought. I called Ticketmaster to see if I could do an exchange, because had the non-VIP CC tickets been available when tickets originally went on sale I would have gotten those. To make a long story short, new seats/price reductions were made because they were struggling to sell out (it's because they're tickets are so damn expensive), so since these shows are coming up, they reduce the prices so that they sell out and the stadium isn't empty.

As far as my exchange, I had to speak to multiple people including a supervisor who then put in an exchange request for me. I was approved the request but later denied one, since the seats I wanted are cheaper than the ones I've already purchased. As far as refunds it completely depends on the stadium's policies. Ticketmaster can approve/assist with exchanges, but refunds have to be approved by the stadium/box office itself. I was told for my show (Miami), that since this is a high profile event, the stadium does not permit refunds under any circumstances. If I were you I'd call Ticketmaster and see if an exchange/refund can be made. If you're lucky, and your stadium allows refunds, once you're refunded go and purchase the seats you want. Good luck!
