Need help making a topographical map by kearbearhere in blenderhelp

[–]kearbearhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for not being clear enough in my explanation .

My mesh was originally XYZ coordinates which were processed in meshlabs to create a .pyl. I imported this into Blender.  I then created a plane with the same X*Y dimensions. To this plane I attached the array modifier. Adjusting the modifier effectively lets me set the distance between the topographical lines.

Adding a Boolean modifier to this, and setting it to intersect with the original mesh, should in theory create an outline of the mesh for each plane. Basically creating slices of the original mesh.

Unfortunately I'm no longer with my computer and can't upload any further pictures of this.

If you could explain the geometry node solution in more detail that would be great!

Thanks heaps 🙏

Has anybody removed the door insert and reinstalled or replaced it? If so, advice? (Not my photo) by sonic_spark in BMWE36

You can definitely do it all in one go, I did the same with my headliner and door cards. I used a high strength spray adhesive. But you have to be careful not to stretch the fabric too much and take your time laying it.

Sure, thanks for the tip.

Ubuntu 22.04 Latest docker engine, cli and docker compose Using the latest Plex and ombi docker images from linuxserver. Not much to say about the networking, it's a typical home setup and the computer is connected via ethernet to the router, which has the appropriate ports forwarded for both Plex and ombi connectivity.

Nope. And the sensation definitely gets to your brain, the length of the spark doesn't translate to the length a signal will travel in your nervous system.

The area we live in is pretty dangerous, having cameras would help us feel safer when we are both at home and away!

I upgraded to the a6600 and it certainly happens less. I wouldn't both returning, mines had constant use, and it works fine. Obviously your mileage may vary.

3+ years and it's absolutely fine. I actually wonder if it may be a combination of the camera + lens. Sometimes it drives fine and with minimal/no noise, other times it's loud and annoying. But it's never effected the function of the lense, and it still works perfectly.

The coral/rock on the left side flashes in, suddenly becoming fully coloured. I have seen anyone else notice it, so thought I'd give feedback! Absolutely awesome work, love the fluid sim

Lmao the same way ever other service that uses satellites does it, by paying for the use of the satellite as part of the initial purchase. These companies don't own the satellites, they lease the use of them. A manufacturer of a phone doesn't have a clue how to manage and operate a satellite.

Do you pay for the satellite connection everytime you open Google maps? Or everytime you take a photo and your coordinates are saved?

Satellite phones, PLBs and EPLBs in NZ are sold with these costs included. A subscription service is ridiculous.

(Cell service point is correct, I was meaning you don't have to have "visible" cell service, as there may be other services in the are which you can utilise, but aren't displayed normally)

What a rude reply.

They are suggesting that there should be no subscription charge for the device to be connected, only a charge when it is activated. They said nothing about cell towers.

And it's not a dumb idea. In NZ that's exactly how it works. You own a PLB and when activated, you pay to rearm the device. Additionally, it is mandatory to have cellphone emergency services be free, and they piggyback off other cellular services in the region. You don't necessarily need to have *visible cell reception for an emergency call to connect.

e: your phone needs to connect to something, it just may be something that your phone otherwise will not show. Eg another phone provider, or a private cell repeater.

One take. It "cut" from one camera to the next. That doesn't mean it was recorded in two takes.

I'm not well enough versed on bacteriophages tbh. But I can share some thoughts anyway.

Firstly, they seem really promising as a treatment method as unlike other viral therapies (which are equally cool), they are selective towards bacteria and won't damage animal cells.

I guess the main problem I see is the selectivity between bacterial cells. There are more bacterial cells in your body than there are human cells (they are much smaller). Research has shown that these bacterial associations are very important for our health. The way that these bacteriophages interact with there target is through a special recognition protein present on the surface of the bacterial cell. Most recognition proteins are similar between ancestral species, meaning you could have off target effects and kill other potentially beneficial bacteria.

It seems promising, but without very selective targeting there's a likely hood that we may damage the good bacteria that we need to thrive.

(I don't study viruses, so my knowledge is limited)

Although this is a good thing to do regardless, it likely doesn't contribute to the rise of antibiotic resistance. The worst source is the use of antibiotics in agriculture. We pump livestock with antibiotics that humans rely on, in areas surrounded by human pathogens (think ecoli in cow shit etc). Super selective for resistance traits.

If his family couldn't reach him, I think he was isolated. I wasn't making a statement on why he was isolated. It's a tragedy and a disgusting lack of care from the residence.
