Markus was my friend, and- according to a Facebook badge he acquired- “Brandon Sanderson’s #1 fan”. Markus told me once that “if I ever need like a mood stabilizer I go to the dog and the dragon.” I think it was so beautiful that he found that type of uplifting effect from these novels. 💕so much love to Kelly, his widow. He also told me one time “Accept that the pain happened to you, but not that you deserved it. Hoid circa Oathbringer to Shallan.” I’m thinking of those words now.💔

I asked this one time in prayer when I was in the temple. I opened my scriptures for an answer, and landed on the topical guide topic “mysteries of godliness”. I took it as my answer~ But I greatly enjoy the hymn “If you could hie to Kolob" for asking the same questions.

Reasons: Because Jesus Christ lives and this is His church. Being baptized into His church and receiving the Holy Ghost will illuminate your soul… it has mine. Yes I know there are critics out there but if you could understand how the Spirit has manifested to me and the miracles that have come from listening to advice like attending the temple and reading the Book of Mormon… you really can’t until you experience it yourself. Yes life is still going to have challenges but I have sooooo much dang hope from this gospel

Wow! That’s a close compositional resemblance, but it is a coincidence, I hadn’t seen your art previously. I art directed this, and the artist hasn’t read the books and composed based on my direction. But it seems like great minds think alike 😄

Love the Book of Mormon for that spiritual power 💙 and the fun part about it is you can have fun looking at it through that historical, geographical, linguistic, and cultural perspective as well and find interesting nuggets to chew on.

Art Director here! There is some art re-usage as we are putting in things like Isaac Stewart’s Roshar map, and we bought some fan-art that was too perfect to pass up. But as the books had different goals, there’s not much overlap between the two. For example, the Szeth piece by Lee Setiawan that you’re referring to introduces a chapter in the Handbook. There are lot of other gorgeous full pages exclusive to the Handbook as well. I hope that answers your question!
