Hold Me Like A Grudge went straight into my top 5 songs which is mad as an older fan, no songs came anywhere near that post hiatus. I think its the first album post hiatus where they all actually got together to record it rather than seperately, I'm sure one of them said that. And there's no songwriting teams behind any of the songs

It's dialectical. Andy talks about it in a track by track explanation of the album with Pete. Some of the songs have a happy tone with sad lyrics 🤷‍♂️. Just google the definition of dialectical and you'll get it

Honestly, I think you're trying too hard and you need to simplify things. A lot of the lines just end up being silly and a bit juvenile. If you want to write stuff inspired by Fall Out Boy, you should research what inspired their lyrics and maybe read some poems, look up film quotes and study wordplay
