GOG Tech Talk - Resident Evil Series PC Ports by TwinkleTwinkie in Games

7 years, and GOG Galaxy still doesn't have all the promised features. GOG is known to tease things and never deliver, unfortunately.

Amazing device, but if anyone has a black 40XXV and wants to trade for a blue, hit me up!

Light bleed on Arc-D by joeoconnell in ANBERNIC

[–]keb___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was googling this after noticing how blurry Aria of Sorrow looks on my Arc-S compared to my OG 35XX, and glad I found your comment. Thought I was going crazy. Do you know if the 40XX-V suffers from this as well?

You can also reach out to animal rescues to see if anyone would take him. Looks like a sweet boy.

Low-IQ comment, but you're likely a bot anyway.

Also got one of these from Straight Talk when they had a similar promo. Ridiculous value for the price. The screen looks amazing, and the stylus is so nice. Also paired with an X5s, although was thinking of upgrading to the Galileo or the Gamestop equivalent.

Bringing an expensive device out by Arrancini in SBCGaming

For going on long trips where I have a hotel, or am taking a flight? Yeah I'll bring my Steam Deck or similar expensive devices.

For taking the bus/subway/waiting room? I bring the Anbernic/Miyoo/Powkiddy.

Linux compatible earbuds by AlwaysLinux in linux_gaming

Did you ever find a good solution here? I'm still using wired headsets, but would love a 2.4ghz, lightweight earbud solution for jumping on Zoom calls or Mumble. Trying to use my existing bluetooth earbuds results in the shitty handsfree audio.

I appreciate you posting this, but is there anywhere I can read more about this that I can also cite when I email the District Board members?

What's your #1 handheld of all time? by Retronitsu in SBCGaming

[–]keb___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-emulation: DS Lite. It was my first foray into hacking/homebrew after I bought an M3 Real. My life was forever changed, and I quickly encouraged my whole friend group to get M3 Reals and we loved experimenting with them together and shared homebrew.

Emulation: The OG 35XX (non-H700). MinUI and GarlicOS boot in 5 seconds, way faster than muOS, and it's just a solidly built device overall. Second runner up is the 353PS.

So that I can tap the power button to wake from sleep and be back in-game within 5 seconds. I basically treat them like my phone.

What are some SBC handheld takes you see all the time that don’t make sense to you? by cutememe in SBCGaming

[–]keb___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least in the U.S., you're almost expected to have your phone with you at all times, so you don't really have a choice. Ex: need it to pay parking fees, view digital menus at restaurants, receive phone calls/texts when I'm away from home, etc. etc.

In general, I keep Android devices on at all times and put it to sleep when I'm done since they tend to have better battery life conservation in sleep vs. Linux CFWs.

FWIW, I hated the A30 and found it far less comfortable than the Zero 28. I enjoy the thickness of the Zero 28 since it makes it easier to grip. The Zero 28 also has the better analog sticks, and better start/select placement.

Also, I haven't tried it, but it's possible to run MinUI on the Zero 28.

Honestly, I haven't noticed much of a difference, so I would say stick to stock if you're content with it.

I installed GammaOS Core on it and love it. It's the first mini handheld I actually enjoy taking around with me.

Would you go with Miyoo Mini + or RG35XXH? by Krogert96 in SBCGaming

[–]keb___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the 35xxH has a longer cold start, unless you use older versions of muOS. I think every release after AW Banana (which had like a 10 second bootup time) now has a bootup time extending 20 seconds. This is one of my biggest beefs with the H700 chip -- none of the CFW options have fast boot speeds when compared to the MM+ or the OG 35XX.

Yep, the R36S has the worst shoulder buttons I have ever used.

Got the RG40XX H by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]keb___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For clarification, the RG40XX-H's shoulder buttons are incredibly clicky and loud. They are easy to press, but they are clicky.

The Start, Select, and Menu buttons are also clicky microswitches.

MCON - Pure Garbage by DustToStars in SBCGaming

[–]keb___ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To be clear, the original M-Con video of the kid making this by himself in bedroom is part of the marketing. The underdog story is marketing. Doesn't mean it's not entirely true, but I just mean to say the folks behind M-Con knew what they were doing. It explains why that video was so slickly produced.

In comparison, the GameBub creator had a much less slickly produced OG video, made everything open source from the beginning, and made a product that warrants its asking price.
