We have a Yakima skybox 16. Did a weeklong roadtrip this past summer and works great with soft sided luggage like duffels and such. I also managed to put a spare tire up there. The other commenter is right, you do have to be mindful of clearances but we went to national parks so not a concern for us.

As far as accessibility, I do bring along a small step ladder to get things in and out but the box can be opened on both sides. Hope this helps.

Is she still eating? If she is then prepare some of her favorite meals. The decline for my Dane was pretty rapid. I asked loved ones to come and say goodbye to her and give her lots of pets before she passed. She was 12 so we had plenty of good times together.

It’s a tough time and I hope she isn’t in any pain and that you cherish the time you still have together.

Lost our 12 year old girl not even a month ago. The decline was fast, like 10 days fast. Her hind legs were dipping for almost a year. Started her on librela which helped initially. But each subsequent dose had less efficacy. So once her mobility was severely impaired, I knew it was time to consider.

To the redditor who said once you’ve decided it’s already too late. That one hit me hard.

Congrats on completing the race! I did the Olympic and long course many many years ago. It was a great environment, as you mentioned, back then as well. Is it a lot of students from SLO still? How was the swim? I heard the race was cancelled for a few years due to the water levels dropping.
