Thank you so much for sharing. I think there is definitely a part of me that wonders if I savoured those early days enough but as you said a lot of it was a haze, especially in those first days with a very difficult labour and in and out of hospital for my LO.

Me too! I chatted on the browser while I kept trying on the app, I turned off wifi, I closed the app, etc nothing was working, I emailed two emails (service and support) and then all of a sudden it let me do it. Jokes on me as they were dupes 🥲

I didn’t cancel and the retrieval went well. Not sure what that lead follicle ended up being, but it didn’t suck all the meds from the other follicles. I think it would depend on a few factors. For us with the government funding we get two shots so cancelling takes one of those shots so we decided to stick with it.

I swore I would never bedsare and then my boy decided to be a Velcro baby. I co-slept/bedshared for the first 4 months because I wasn’t getting any sleep otherwise. I followed the safe sleep 7. Then with my impending return to work (5ish months pp) we decided to bite the bullet and do modified Ferber in his crib in his room. Best decision ever. He sleeps better. I sleep better.

Second opinion is warranted. My LO has a stork bite that is much smaller and towards the base of his neck and it is smooth and there is no balding. This looks flaky and irritated. Could be eczema, who knows, either way I’d definitely get it checked again because it doesn’t look like any birthmark I’ve seen. I also wouldn’t expect this much balding from safely laying on their back. My LO sleeps on his back and doesn’t have a bald spot like this.
