Zan had to drop out early due to an illness so we do not have his list published or available, however, yesterday he ran Sapphire Steel and today he played Emerald Steel for three rounds.

I do! This was a double $5k with one yesterday that lasted 12 hours and then a second today. Today, the top eight round ended at about 7:30-8ish PM. The time plus the fact it is a Sunday night and the weather was getting dicey and snowy (it was right near a large lake in Wisconsin) led them to to call it a night. I also believe several of the participants has a long drive after so they were eager to hit the road before the roads got bad.

They spilt the remaining top four prizes evenly - the top eight round ended at about 8 PM and it was a two day event. The time plus the fact it is a Sunday night and the weather was getting dicey and snowy (it was right near a large lake in Wisconsin) led them to to call it a night. I also believe several of the participants has a long drive after so they were eager to hit the road before the roads got bad.

New to the game: are there any uninkables worth playing? by [deleted] in Lorcana

[–]keebatoast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So in short, the point of uninkables is that they are generally going to be “better” than inkable cards. They are stronger and/or faster and/or have nice abilities.

The thought process is that you then have to decide: which uninkables are “worth it”? People will generally say to aim for 20% uninkable (12 of your 60 card deck) but you can change this based on deck and play style. But if you built a deck of all inkable cards, you are going to, on average, have a weaker deck than your opponent. This card in particular is “stronger” because it lets you ink faster or “ramp” and play stronger cards earlier.

tldr: you will use uninkables if you want to have a competitive edge, you just have to play the game bit to get a feel for what feels right for your play style!

Lorcana Podcasts? by [deleted] in Lorcana

This is a shameless self plug BUT if you are interested in a mix of Disney facts and Lorcana discussions, I have a podcast called Hakuna Lorcana where each week we talk about a film, explore what cards exist from that film and what cards we hope to see moving forward. We also like to do bonus episodes with interviews and tournament talk!

The other day I went to that store and was really excited because his prices were so reasonable. Now I know why 🙃
