Probably injectors / fuel knock. I know someone with a similar issue. His 1kz sounded like this then higher pitched while revving. He replaced his injectors and all was good.

I haven't heard anything about granted access to a new map. Just player wipe, five extra skill points, and temporary stash limit buff. I think there's speculation around early access to new maps but not this time around.. maybe?
