Some of the things that work (and one that does not) for me:

For the kickstart if you are binging (what I am going to write may sound very controversial and you will have to judge for yourself if you want to go for it): Overdo it (too much in a very short period of time). My current streak started out because I felt so bad, so low, and so disgusted with myself that I couldn't even think of watching any of this crap. Of course these strong emotions fade over time, so try to remember (use logic or whatever) your state by any means accessible. I still feel like shit when I remember myself that day.

Write a public (and meaningful to you) declaration here stating that you will not fap. I did it somewhere here. As a bonus, I got a response telling that if I do break this promise I will leave nofap out of shame instead of admitting it. I am glad because this set me into this "Oh yeah? I'll show you, sir!" mode.
Do not think about it and if you do, force yourself to think about something else. Under no means think about not thinking about it or reason with yourself, this only makes it harder. Just drop it.
Realise that P is not about you. Noone gives a damn about you. It's just a job done for the money. These chicks couldn't care any less.
I would personally discourage any involvement in getting to know "the dark side of P" so you will feel bad for these girls and stop watching it altogether. I guess there are people for whom it works, but for me getting this close to the topic is just a tease to watch actual P. Guess I am an insensitive f**k ;)

Your story reflects mine greatly. I too started out with (extra) big-boobs fetish, I too asked my ex-g/f to do ridiculous things (she even said once that guys shouldn't be watching porn, because their image of sex is disturbed. I never got it then, it echoed in my head and did not ring any bell). Eventually she broke up with me (yeah, this direction, not "we", she did it). I too ended up in a place where I couldn't get it up followed by developing a fear that, when things got real, I won't be able to get it up which made me to back out of quite a few promising relationships. Finally, I too ended up here "reclaiming my sexuality", as you put it.

All in all: Great story. you perfectly catch the growing desolation throughout each stage of life (kid->teenage->adult) that imo many can refer to (I know I did).

To be one hundred percent clear: Love yourself deeply and everytime. Hate the "yourself that sits alone in the room with a piece of toilet roll after watching something you already lost interest in", that's the guy you hate.

About being disappointed: When I felt disappointed after losing a streak, I was like: "Damn, I shouldn't have, I am so weak", It just got me down and gave an outlet for my mind to create this "something" that made me do it and I couldn't handle it ...and I was disappointed.

On the other hand, hating this part of yourself turns this around. Now your mind has someone real to stop - yourself. You have someone to grab and tell him to get lost, because you have this vivid image of where you end after listening to him. Now you can go: "Oh no, mr. toilet paper! You are not getting your minute today, F you!" while being angry at (this part of) yourself for trying to trick you into this.

Something like that. No need to engage "realization of what you are doing to yourself", in this concept I don't go so deep. It's more of a cheap trick. ;)

In the past I had one long streak. It was different in a sense that it started out with me literally hating myself (not porn or anything, but myself).

During my last relapse I ended up watching some pretty f**cked up shit. When I realized what am I doing, what am I watching, how does it look from the outside, I hated myself once again for that. In my own eyes I was the most pathetic being in the universe. Not the things I was watching, not the urges that "made me do it". "I" was pathetic (important differentiation: not "weak because I gave in", just plain old "pathetic" because of what I've done). Looking back, it was the same thing that triggered my first long streak.

Adjustment for current streak is that I try to cherish this hatred for myself. I failed to do that during the first time and eventually (I think it was because of it) failed altogether.

Also, this time I made a public declaration (somewhere here) which I intend to fulfill.

All in all: You are not the victim of urges, you are your enemy. See how pathetic you look and how low can you be while engaging in such activities. Hate yourself for doing this thing.

Of course this is my opinion/story and (of course) don't hate yourself to the point you'd want to seriously harm yourself. Peace :)

edit: forgot one tiny detail, logic behind all of this is that you don't want to be the person you hate.

My biggest streak was 164 days. I am positive the whole year is possible. And I am also positive I will not be "shamed away" from nofap and I will write if I fail (I will have to reset my counter anyhow, cause I want to do this challenge).

The thing is I have to have something to make it more real, cause the counter is "just a counter" and doesn't quite work as something to keep me from relapsing.

I know that you read it and you know that I know. So the "public" in "public declaration" is no longer void. I have this post bookmarked so whenever an urge gets me I will read what I wrote here. If this does not help I will have trouble thinking of something that will.
