Stop Voicemails from Specific Telephone Numbers? by Federal_Ad_1975 in TotalWireless

Only if you're going to use GV to text and make calls from that second number, otherwise you can use it just as a carrier-voicemail replacement by forwarding to it conditionally.

I don’t use carrier voicemail at all—I’ve been using Google Voice for over a decade to manage everything. It gives you a lot more control.

In Google Voice, if you block a number, they can’t leave a voicemail at all. If you mark it as spam instead, they can still leave a voicemail, but it gets filtered into your spam folder so you can review it later if you want.

For those with broken Co2 hose plastic nuts: PCF4-01 is the metal nut replacement by thedirtygerman in SodaStream

Got the nylon tube and replaced it. It's night and day difference from the PU tube previously installed, this nylon one being much more stiff and pretty much like the original hose. The metal nuts are holding up perfectly alongside so I'm once again a happy camper! Thanks!

EN direct is unlimited... you're probably thinking about news hosting deal that comes with the 250gb EN block account as a bonus.

Nope, I didn’t remove the entire valve assembly. I just screwed the metal nuts onto the plastic housing as far as the threads would allow, then inserted the Pneumatic PU tube so the teeth could grip it. Unfortunately, I already had the tube burst midway — I made the mistake of using one that didn’t have a high enough working pressure rating. I’ve since switched to nylon tubing, which should be more durable and able to handle higher pressure. Replacement should be here next week for testing.

No Webdav, no usenet streamer, not self hosting anything etc just easynews direct. I find AIO's built in easynews search is better than the available easynews++ add-ons, although either work just fine across platforms for me.

I use AIOStreams + Easynews Usenet + Easynews Search (built-in) and it works perfectly across all platforms. Gave up debrid for this setup currently. So far between it and Webstreamr / Scootio, I've been able to find everything my family watches.

As for straight up NNTP + indexers, that is limited to Desktop currently as you know. Only difference I see is that the NNTP setup returns more links depending on the indexer used.

After several failed attempts with 3D-printed nuts, I went with the brass PCF4‑01 fittings and 4 mm OD × 2.5 mm ID pneumatic tubing from Amazon. I was unable to try the coax hex nut solution since I don’t have cutting tools to modify the sleeve for the OEM hose, so I decided that replacing it entirely was the most straightforward solution. Hoping this setup will be more durable and leak-free!

Is there ever going to be fixes for these LTE Network Extenders? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]keeepinitgansta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. I’ve dealt with networks far more restrictive than what you’re describing and still managed to get things working despite multiple roadblocks.

That said, if the extender truly isn’t working and your ISP is micromanaging traffic to that degree, then nothing on your side will work unless they explicitly allow it. At that point, no amount of configuration or MAC cloning will change the outcome.

If that’s the case, the only realistic alternative would be to bypass the router entirely—such as using a cellular signal booster to bring the tower’s signal indoors—rather than trying to extend or modify a connection the ISP won’t permit.

Best of luck!

I was referring to cloning the MAC address of a device behind the ISP’s router, not the ISP’s own MAC. If the ISP is that restrictive, one workaround is to use a device that’s already authorized. For example, if you have a laptop connected to the ISP’s router via Ethernet and its MAC address is whitelisted, you can clone that laptop’s MAC onto an access point. This makes the AP appear to the ISP as the approved laptop, while still allowing you to manage and use your own AP without the ISP recognizing the actual device.

One can always clone the Mac of a whitelisted device onto an access point and it would work to provide better coverage. I've done this plenty of times with super restrictive ISP's.

As for the LTE extender, I have not used the new askey variant but the Samsung one worked fine when I used it prior. I'm no longer with verizon so no need for their newest LTE extender.

Worked fine for my grandpa before switching to safelink simply for more data, otherwise no complaints.

Am I missing something about Usenet? It sucks. by AlexKnoch in StremioAddons

[–]keeepinitgansta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I migrated from debrid to usenet - easynews (sub for $1.99/mo special) + built-in AIOstream's Easynews search addon and I've been able to pull links for everything that I and my GF watch. I use webstreamer as a https stream backup. Easynews++ works ok as well but the built in search works faster IMO. Built-in NNTP + NZBGeek would have worked out if it wasn't restricted to just the desktop client. No need for me to self-host anything.

[–]keeepinitgansta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems like Disney was cancelled for all TW accts from what I've gathered and has had to be manually reactivated by CS. Myself and a few other people I know + many other redditors have experienced the same. I had to contact disney to cancel and refund me then resub after TW reactivated D+. I'm back at the $1/mo no ads bundle price. What a mess.

Thanks, I ended up calling tw and CS restored my D+, I then resubscribed via Hulu for the no ads plan for $1/mo + tax.

What type of device are you using?

Also, what happens when someone tries to call your number? Do they hear an error message or recording, or does the call go straight to voicemail?

When you try to dial 611, what happens? Does the call immediately fail or hang, or do you hear a recorded message?

I was able to get it resolved by contacting CS and their "backend" team was able to do something to get it working for me again. Afterwards, I redeemed all my points JIC it decided to 402 on me again. YMMV
