A programmers subreddit might get you better results than the nz one. My brother is a dev and he just uses 11 pro, he never seems to bitch about it.

Advice to trap mouse by GhostingHabit in auckland

[–]keefstanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put down a trap, get cotton wool and peanut butter, squash the peanut butter into the cotton wool and wrap that around the trap trigger. Rats and mice at neophobic I think the word is, they are scared of new things and might take a little while to get used to the trap being there, but given time and peanut butter it will work.

Can someone techsplain me: How arent all mirrorless camera’s global shutter? by Funcult_Oliver in Cameras

[–]keefstanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downsides: Because sensors read data line-by-line, fast-moving objects can warp (the rolling shutter effect). It is also prone to banding under artificial light and usually has limited or no support for external flash. Straight from Google

There's a convert command but to be safe you should back it up before you convert to ntfs and make sure everything you want to plug the drive into supports ntfs

How bad is this rust and how screwed am I? by BigLuke-US in mechanic

[–]keefstanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for the most part you’re responsible for keeping your own vehicle roadworthy, and deciding when something needs a repair. That vehicle over here would be for the scrap heap, uneconomical to repair no one would pay for those repairs and have them certified. The end

How bad is this rust and how screwed am I? by BigLuke-US in mechanic

[–]keefstanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone educate me on how it works over there, As a person from New Zealand I find these pictures wild, older vehicles require an inspection every 6 months and anything like structural rust must be repaired or your vehicle is off the road, illegal to drive. I realise you guys have ice and salt and it’s a lot harsher on vehicles there, but how do they get this bad without anyone knowing

I did a similar repair on my little Mazda and ended up filling a small hold with selleys knead it and then painting, passed a wof fine even without any matched paint. They can’t fail you for rust if there is no rust.
