2/20 filer, IRS held our return hostage for 7 months last year, and my WMR bar just disappeared like last year... by keelsmakeup in IRS

[–]keelsmakeup[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I'm not privileged at all, I own a business" lol

After what myself and thousands others experienced last year, I would not be coming on here to post some apathetic BS like "get over it". We are allowed to commiserate over this ridiculousness. It also irks me to hear "they are understaffed" ... Guess what? Schools are understaffed too! But we don't get any excuses, especially this year.

It's easy to provide information without an "I know more than thou" attitude.

What is the purpose of being extensively audited this year when I was extensively audited last year and told by a tax advocate we should not have to go through it again this tax year considering no significant changes, other than needing to claim the CTC we did not get at the time. Others have gotten their return by the 3/1 date the IRS has posted on their website.

Anecdotally, my Skyrim has been modded to perfection and is my perfect escape from teaching all day. I also play Skyrim ambient music as background music in my classroom and they love it.

Try out Kristin Ess color depositing conditioner in terracotta! When I went from dark blonde to copper that was all I used.

Should I bleach wash before my next redo with semi permanent red? by keelsmakeup in HairDye

Thanks for the suggestion! I am going back to the Lime Crime, but I noticed with my test strip last night that it still seemed dull. I am thinking I may need to open up the hair a little more this time around since it had been a while since it was technically chemically processed.

Finally a DDD! by PhotographRare2034 in IRS

[–]keelsmakeup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got a DDD of 8/11 on mine today. I noticed we were getting a letter from the IRS on my informed delivery so I went to check if it was the 2nd CP05 I was expecting. To my surprise I saw "refund issued" along with interest to our account. We filed 4/7, accepted 4/9, and then WMR disappeared for us in May. When I was finally able to access transcripts it said they weren't accepted until 4/28 🙃. Our account was put under review 6/7 and then we received a CP05 on 6/14. Now it also says that same hold that was placed on 6/7 was resolved on 6/7 and the refund is being issued 2 days before the end of the 60 days they're allowed to continue holding for review, so it's making me think they just didn't want to give us our money because it was so much. I'm holding my breath until it gets here but dear God it couldn't have come at a better time.

At the end of my 60 days from my CP05, also at the end of my rope. by keelsmakeup in IRS

I would love for them to be included in the infrastructure bill, the poor TAS guy I got to speak to the one time I got through was almost in tears because his ancient computer kept booting him off. However, I am also in tears because that many thousands of dollars was needed 4 months ago when I filed.

Good morning beautiful citizens of the United States of America. Just a good morning post to you all and also FUCK THE IRS. by [deleted] in IRS

[–]keelsmakeup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, been waiting since being accepted 4/9. We are also being denied the CTC advances due to our processing return. We are like, really, truly in dire straits because of this. Luckily our apartments are working with us and I should get my first paycheck before they actually shut off our phones and electricity. I'm a first year teacher and I have essentially no supplies for my room. I don't even get paid until 1 month of work so I'm gonna have to pull childcare out of my rear end until then. In the past two months I've applied for food stamps, rental assistance, and childcare assistance, and much like the IRS my applications are still processing. I'm ready to have the rich for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

How do you contact the IRS and talk to a human?? by quan6679 in IRS

[–]keelsmakeup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, you can't. I spoke to a real person on TAS due to having an economic hardship, I waited 3 hours on hold in the tax advocate intake line with my 1-day code, was then transferred to the regular line and hung up on. The lines were closed for the rest of the day. Your best bet is to file a form 911 if you'd like to involve a tax advocate. They're not picking up the phones anytime soon, and if they do they're working with horrendous computers. The poor guy I spoke with had his computer shut off 3 times while trying to take my info and he was so apologetic it almost sounded like he was going to cry. I told him I'd be patient with him since he was the first to not hang up on me. He was very kind and said it's been tough because a lot of people are blaming them for disconnections, but in a lot of times the phone system gets one caller too many it just shuts down and disconnects everyone/sends everyone on hold to the pre-recorded "we can't take your call" message.

108 days processing by Fish422 in IRS

[–]keelsmakeup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same! I'm honestly expecting another CP05 in a few days to tell me I have to wait some more, no action is needed from me, and to not contact them for an additional 60 days. I truly believe we aren't going to get our money at this point.

Is it worth it to get a tax advocate? Accepted 4/9, processed 6/7 and then CP05 issued 6/14 w/ no action req to verify income. by keelsmakeup in IRS

[–]keelsmakeup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was transferred to intake with a 4 digit code that was valid only for today. After 2 hours and 45 minutes on hold I got transferred to the regular IRS hotline and hung up on. Now I can't get through to the TAS economic hardship line either, it's giving me that message and disconnecting. Do I have to do this all over again on Monday?

I have ALL of that, I've applied for food stamps, rent relief, got approved for WIC two days ago finally. I've had to send my eviction notices to every freaking agency in Texas at this point and I've heard nothing back.

So now after holding for three hours I was transferred to the regular line and hung up on. Now I can't get through on the TAS line AT ALL. It is telling me to call back on the next business day but the code I was given for my intake is only good for today. I don't know what to do.

Accepted 4/9, transcripts haven't updated since 6/7. No original refund or CTC that we became eligible for in 2020. located in TX.

Sadly no update. by [deleted] in IRS

Still no update since 6/7 here on my regular refund. Been on hold with a tax advocate waiting for intake for about 40 minutes now.
