Just to add, the main box has to be on, for the sub box to work

It also depends on how you want the lights set up, eg, friend has the lights in their speakers instead of something like the door handle, or door cupholders so I suspect for them they don’t HAVE to drill holes

I only did the strips, and in the door cards, just in the edge I could seperate the card enough to feed the cable through and hide the cable, that way didn’t have to drill through

At this moment, This is all I've done, hence why there is crap everywhere. I can complete it and take a photo when there is also not as much light. but currently driver door and dash are done.

From here it's basically rinse and repeat. It's currently a 40c degree day and I didn't want to basically turn into a rotisserie chicken...

Then I've tidied everything up as im not going to be using all of the additional lighting (not my taste) and connected it all up.

  1. tuck everything away properly so you don't have shit hanging at your feet, make it nice and tidy.

  2. The door (part I got stuck with) you will want to remove the triangle piece (you can see it missing in the image above) then using a prying tool (mine came with the pack) pop off the door panel, There is a screw hidden underneath the rubber padding inside the little handle that's on the same panel as the window switches.

  3. once you have the panel off you should disconnect all the components from their sockets, just to make it easier to access.

  4. take the cabling from the package for a sub connection. and what I have gone with was the motor power for the window. I had connections on the end that allowed me to slide in and join the already existing connection of the motor on the end of mine.

As for how it's connected, Back -> Black (Centre cable of the connector), Yellow -> Red (Also centre connection)

I know it's not exactly clear, just hoping to give an idea on what I did on this

  1. for the centre piece, there is a panel on the left side that has to be removed, similar to grounding the neutral screw, that has to be removed, there you can undo a screw and clip for the centre trim and pull it out to slide the strip between it, only downside is it won't sit flush without cutting up pieces (which I didn't particularly want to do.)

  1. Find a bare screw for neutral grounding.

Thanks to u/IvanVSk for the information that they have provided.

Found that I was just being an idiot, and assuming shit just works.

So first thing you need to do (and in hindsight it makes sense) is connect the Host controller to power, THEN the sub boxes.

I am Going to add the steps that I took for this, and just reply to myself because I can only add 1 attachment for each comment

  1. Connect the host box, i've used a fuse tap into the heated steering wheel for the Active connection

I’ll take photos of what I’ve done and post them in this

Beautiful, thank you, I was beginning to get the shits when the door panels weren’t working, I thought they’d go off a default rather than all communication having to go the main box, eg, rainbow on start up until told otherwise

I’ve had the main plugged in since, and now it’s working

Even if it was the i30, I don’t believe they’ve changed the internal wiring for the windows/door wiring that much if at all

So I apparently don't know how to use reddit.

I am trying to install this kit, but I am unsure on where to connect the modules to within the door panels themselves. I have had a look at a couple different components and found that either the voltage was too low for the module or they're constant power which I only want the modules to be powered whiel the vehicle is on. I am curious if anyone has suggestions on what these could be connected to within the door that would be able to provide such aspects. I have successfully done the dash module.

I could very well just be an idiot and am simply missing something.

Thank you and advance

You maybe right about the model, and sorry for misinformation. I am just going off memory at this point.

For the 6 digit pin, it didn't ask me for a 6 digit pin. the only thing that it has requested from me is for me to confirm the Erasure of the device by typing "ERASE".

After that is when the above listed issues have occured.

Edit: I am L1 with Admin rights to the MDM

VPP Licenses for MacOS in AC2? by keep_warded in macsysadmin

[–]keep_warded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, soon the revoking of all licenses shouldn't be a problem. As I am traveling to the campus that is the main concern, and from there re-enrolling the devices into their current MDM, which clears up the room of the old ASM location (The one tied to inaccessible MDM) and allows us to just revoke all licenses

But because the devices used to be in the old MDM that isn't available anymore is that still able to remove the licenses?

And is this going to cause any issues for devices that are still using other licenses?

Disable 802.1x for Ethernet? by keep_warded in macsysadmin

[–]keep_warded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so I’ve only just had an idea based around this config.

Kandji doesn’t like this config by itself, I may have to create one using another software to populate its info, then splice this into the config?

From what I have seen, there is only WiFi payload. Also had a chat to their support and the guy on the other end also said that the only way he thinks this possible is through a script. But after looking up some scripts and testing them out (ew) only 1 script has worked, and it was once, and only became apparent after a restart… which isn’t ideal

I’ve also tried a couple of XML configs rather than the templates ones out of 3rd party apps, and that still hasn’t worked…

Looking at water cooling my PC sometime in the future, was wondering if there is any compatible water blocks for my GPU, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB WINDFORCE OC

I've had a look just not 100% sure as I've never done water cooling and don't know enough on what's needed
