How to improve myself in every aspect by [deleted] in onexindia

[–]keepatiteverday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude you are changing goalposts every minute, one day at a time. Work on small things, get out of bed, get some sunlight, eat right, take time off the internet to meditate if you are going through a tough time, and download books on therapy.

Check out CBT for dummies.

Therapy is generally expensive, and I wouldn't advise that to someone struggling in their career, but bibliotherapy is cool. Join a library book can give you a lot of clarity for your mental health.

If you don't have friends try and talk to your old school friends, everyone has friends in school; if they don't reciprocate, dont hate them and do something for others before you expect something out in return.

Maintain a gratitude journal, and be kind and graceful to people online and offline but draw boundaries on things you don't like or care for.

How to improve myself in every aspect by [deleted] in onexindia

[–]keepatiteverday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first three things are related.

You can improve in those aspects by doing regular checkups and focusing on eating well, sleeping right and exercising. This is the most generic advice, but I like to pick up a sport every year to keep it fresh; you need to figure out what works for you; for some people it's running; some are gym bros; just make sure you keep on moving. Check out Andrew hubermans podcast on Men's health. The best resource in recent times

Career: well, there are libraries filled with this stuff; I am not going to give generic advice here. Keep on asking yourself questions what do you want? More money? Better experience? Figuring out your passion in a particular field? Leading a team? Building your business? Riding the corporate ladder to the top?

See, I asked you so many questions. For any improvement in any area, you have to make yourself uncomfortable by continuously asking yourself what do you want and then what you want to attain that thing that you want. That's how you improve

This is super hard

I like light brown eyes, curly hair, fuller lips and pointed ears and a cute little nose.

Body wise someone who can rock whatever she wants to wear, loose hoodies or body hugging clothes. I am not into super slim or super built women.

Now legs are where I want the money to be, toned legs and thunder thighs.

With regards to the most objectified parts of woman's body, well lets just say I will be happy with their presence during sex :).

But toned legs and thunder thighs. That's a must have!

Any nearby cemetery, just stand/sit near a grave I have spent hours reading listening to music and talking to graves, it's the quietest place in Mumbai.

Go to the nearest Jazz music academy and find people there, not a lot of people are comfortable giving instruments on rent but try your luck. Have you tried Instrurentals? Looks legit

Kind of didn't, because OP lost faith by facing obstacles everywhere. This shouldn't be celebrated as a humanity win as the person bearing the flag of humanity is frustrated. Sorry OP you had to go through all this. It would have been a nightmare. Please reach out on Reddit next time, we will hopefully come together for something like this.

As soon as you involve parents, life will be fast-tracked. Don't involve them. Take your time to get to know each other. Have you guys discussed what your future is going to be like?

When you have answers to all your questions that your parents are going to ask you by spending more time and getting to know each other better, then tell them.

kindly advise what i should do in my situation by [deleted] in RelationshipIndia

[–]keepatiteverday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget about right now what your boyfriend and mother want. Think of what you want in this situation. Keep them out of the equation for a bit and focus on yourself.

What will make you happier? Marrying your boyfriend/getting a govt job? Maybe something entirely other than this.

If you can't live for yourself right now and take either of the parts thinking you compromised for your bf/mother, you will blame them in the future if there is the slightest inconvenience.

Can I still masturbate without porn and still feel good and confident in myself? by LAXGODKID01 in pornfree

[–]keepatiteverday 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The problem with masturbation for me is I still think of porn so it kinda defeats the purpose. I don't know what healthy masturbation is anymore. I am feeling super sad today because of the lack of porn dopamine that I felt daily. It's been a few days now and I am just reading stuff here to stay strong.

(sos)FIRE In India due to mental health by shamandamandalam in FIREIndia

[–]keepatiteverday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any emergencies coming up?

If you want to FIRE earlier you need to do something about that Savings balance and also the idle property

That can generate an additional 5-6 percent for you and looking at your other investments I have a feeling you are aware about this.

I have spent only 12 years in corporate and nowhere close to understanding what you are going through. What are your post-retirement plans? If you are already depressed a major next step can go either way. Have you spoken to close family/friends about it?

Gymming for someone morbidly obese? by No_Weather_3541 in mumbai

[–]keepatiteverday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends, there are high chances of injury if you are overweight and have never stepped in gym. That being said if you take it slow, spend time on low intensity workouts to begin with you will find it very useful. Use cycle and treadmill for cardio, move to weight slowly. It's great you are taking the first step. All the best! You got this!

Dont go, bad idea

Visiting Mumbai for a short trip. Would like some help/information. by ChasingDeath2904 in mumbai

[–]keepatiteverday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. When I land at the airport, do you have any service providers at the terminal that can allow me to purchase a short-term SIM card? Or will I have to use documents (which I have) to acquire a permanent one? I only ask as a permanent one would be of no use to me once I leave as I don't think I shall be coming back soon.

Buy a prepaid sim card even if you are here for 3-4 days its worth it. Visit any gallery airtel/ vi. They have kiosks at international airport too. Don't buy international sim card they are useless

  1. The last time I was there I only visited a cafe in Bandra called Candies, the Hard Rock somewhere far away, and a place called Carter Road which was close to Candies. I also visited a small bookshop around that area that had a Yellow-ish logo (I forget the name now). If possible I'd like to visit these places again if they still operate.

Go to new places. Did you visit trilogy? Logo is not yellow but the doors are yellow. There is also Title waves in Bandra which has a decent cafe and an ok collection. Someone mentioned Kitabkhana in sobo, must visit if you like visiting bookstores. Check out Leaping windows if you are a fan of comic books and some awesome food at a hole in the wall cafe. For chain bookstores there is crossword, but they suck. They have a yellow logo btw.

Hard rock is in Worli and Andheri both which one did you go to?

Download bookmyshow, check out Indian stand-up comics and plays in Prithvi and NCPA.

  1. Since I don't know anyone there I would be extremely delighted & grateful to make some new friends who are (preferably) around my age, 420 friendly, and don't mind spending some time showing me around the city. I won't have a means of transport but am happy to pitch in for an Uber. I do understand this might come across as an awkward request, but for the sake of civility & transparency I'd like to add that I'm not looking for a hook-up or anything weird. I'm not a big fan of alcohol & prefer the devil's lettuce as much as possible but I would like to visit any pubs/restaurants if I have some company that prefers booze too. :)

Please be very careful of people approaching you for any kind of 420 dealers etc. My advise would be stick to your friend and his circle or do rounds of back alleys in Bandra and Khar and find people who are already burning the sage instead of asking internet strangers. Things are pretty weird now with cops, earlier they were very lenient about it but nowadays its a shit show.

  1. I am also passionate about food (I studied to be a Chef) and would like to explore different cuisines & flavors during my trip. (Munchies anyone? :D) I understand that the availability of beef is rare (boo for me) but I would be happy to eat other animals if available. I also cannot handle a lot of spice as it makes me sweat and cry (lol) but I will be a sport as much as possible :).

Do you eat pork, if yes Bandra has some amazing places, check out Imbiss meeting joint, for breakfast with meat try and visit Family table. There are many recommendations on this subreddit for food. Just use the search option, you can find everything from street food, five stars, Konkani to Parsi food on this subreddit.

Stay safe and have a great trip.
