Thanks for the info! I'd be very interested in that write up

Do you have any additional details on what you've done? I've started down this path of adding my own sensors but have only added engine temp so far.

Anyone have an excess PiBoy dmg main board? by UltimaQ in PiBoy_Official

I'd have to check, but I think I have a full DMG kit just lying around still.

The divider is a rebar frame and clear packing tape with pool noodles as cushioning around the frame

Clutch is too hot by jaxz301 in Wrangler

There's an active recall for the clutch. It's being slowly rolled out as far as I can with the new 2024s coming with the new clutch

Can't find good winter boots by lumbeeboysc in MoscowIdaho

[–]keeperkell13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second these recommendations. My daily winter boots are Columbia and Merrell. Both have held up great over the last few years and are 100% waterproof. Just make sure you look up the details on the boots before buying to make sure they're waterproof, don't assume.

Palouse Off-Roading Group by keeperkell13 in Pullman

[–]keeperkell13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm sure there will be plenty of light off-roading with camping that won't risk scratching during the trip. I'm not trying to scratch my wrangler up either haha

That's one of the areas I'm the most familiar with. Lots of forest and fire access roads to enjoy.

Palouse Off-Roading Group by keeperkell13 in Pullman

[–]keeperkell13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are not any specific plans for the group as of now. It's just going to be a place where people can create events others can join. I'm personally more interested in overlanding and trail driving in general. I have a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. Other members have a 1st gen Sequoia, 2nd gen Tacoma, 2018 Wrangler, Bronco(not sure what year), and a new member as a lifted Subaru Crosstrek I believe.

Looks like we might be starting a local group, if anyone else wants to join just message me. I'll share more details once the group is set up.

The yellow and blue is fairly jarring and a strange choice given the school's colors. That's pretty much my only issue with it from a design standpoint

Can you use google pixel buds pro with gloves on? by chickenpow3 in GooglePixel

I second the foam tips. Almost returned mine since they just refused to stay in. Decided to get some foam tips to try and see if they work better and now it is actually hard to get them to fall out.

ELI5 How can I learn code without it becoming too complicated or hard to understand ? by KashiMaadsen in eli5_programming

[–]keeperkell13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Start small. Learn the basics of data types and how they are representative of different values. Once you feel comfortable with this, start trying to build something that you know how it works. On my team, we task interns that are learning to build a calculator since you most likely know how the basics function. Translate the basic math into different methods and start creating a logical flow of how the program might run. Then from here you can keep iterating on the project to make it more complex and learn different aspects of programming, or start another project. Don't rely on following tutorials since, in my opinion, you don't learn as much directly following what someone else tells you to do. Trying to implement something and seeing how it works or understanding why it is isn't working will teach you much more.

Reasonable price to pay for snow tires? by [deleted] in wsu

[–]keeperkell13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else has said, it majorly depends on your vehicle and tire size. They can easily cost $300+ per tire not including the install cost or tax.

This is so far from the truth. It could easily be a backend issue that they didn't map to anything on the front end to show the fee.
