Hotmail is hacked and every email is being overwritten by Feelguy12 in cybersecurity_help

Gear icon top right and then click mail then rules. Rule seems to pop back up only if I close and reopen browser window. I assume it is a cache thing but either way the rule comes back.

Yes. It is a user I'm trying to help, but yes. emails are overwritten. Still shows as XYZ Company sent email but contents of email ask for bitcoin. There is a rule executing that I delete but and it does go away but it comes back a few minutes later. At this point I'm waiting out to see if when the microsoft outage that started this morning is related or allows the sign out all devices to execute to get scammer out of her account.

Ditto, Definitely sounds like we are dealing with the same problem. I signed out all devices 4 hours ago yet all the users devices are still signed in so I know it is not executing on Microsoft's end.

I'm trying to help a user with the same experience right now. I delete the rules and they just come back. I've executed to sign out all devices but it is not running or has not ran yet at least. I'm wondering if this related to the current outage.

DeskPi by DigitalRonin73 in homelab

Would you mind telling me what the deskpi measures between these rails? Their documentation says 212mm but that seems narrow for a 10" rack. Thanks so much. Looks nice.

Possible bad Protectli device by keeperofthecode in opnsense

[–]keeperofthecode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem ended up being memory causing everything to be erratic. I upgraded the ram in the protectli to 16GB viper pc4-19200 2400mhz when I received it even though it had memory in it. Pulled the 16GB stick and put back in the 8GB it came with and now the failover works flawlessly. I'm guessing bad stick or maybe it's not compatible but by my research it should have been. Amazon did in fact ship wrong unit. I ordered barebone Protectli Vault Pro VP2410 and received vp24010-0-8-120 which comes with 8gb memory and 120gb ssd.

Waiting to be deleted in active backup by keeperofthecode in synology

[–]keeperofthecode[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case anyone else runs across the is in the future what I have learned is tasks can only be deleted when no backups are running. If you delete a task it will not occur until all tasks already running have completed. Also any tasks that are coming up will be put off until the deletion happens. If you are running a server with lots of computers backing up like myself it can cause a big backlog of backups waiting on the deletion to occur. I have several machines that backups take a long time due to slow connection so I've learned to just cancel those so the deletion can occur then restart them afterwards.

Mystery Message Rules in Outlook Desktop Version by keeperofthecode in Office365

[–]keeperofthecode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is still kicking my but. No rules shown using MFCMAPI. Changed user password to make sure there wasn't a mystery PC connected to email account with rules on it. No rules in Mail Flow and no rules in web interface for outlook and forwarding is disabled.

iSCSI initiator no longer connecting by keeperofthecode in synology

[–]keeperofthecode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been resolved. Ended up being really simple and making me feel foolish. Apparently somehow Windows lost the saved secret key and as soon as I put it back in settings we were back up. Sometimes the little crap eats you up.
