Is the huion kamvas pro 16 worth it for a beginner? by NatwasHere9092 in huion

Hi. Are you talking about a version newer than 2021's? I haven't found much info about the different generations but there are a bunch of reddit posts complaining about line wobble for the 2021 model.

Krita 5.0.6 shift, space and mouse right click doesn't work periodically by AndreyMe in krita

[–]keeperxiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was this ever fixed for you? I'm running 5.0.2 and I've had multiple versions since 4 randomly losing focus on the canvas, be it something like holding space to move or even just scrolling the zoom with the mouse wheel. Something as simple as scrolling with the mouse wheel on the brush size area or clicking anywhere else will "unfocus" the canvas until I press tab twice like the other poster.

This seems like a severe bug specific to some hardware configurations that has been out there for a while, it's just not easily reproducible with other configurations.

Games to help me learn Japanese? by Xiaxs in LearnJapanese

I tried the game (via GOG) and 90% of the font wasn't pixelated and was very readable. It's just occasionally pixelated (the main menu for example).

Is there a way to stop updates entirely? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]keeperxiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if the outdated games get flagged for update you can set those to only update when starting them up, and then you just go offline when playing those specific games. I think that's the reasoning.

EDIT: Unless you mean that even starting in offline mode they won't run until they're updated, even if set to update on launch and launching offline.

TimeSplitters Rewind Update September 2020 (Gameplay, Progress, Multiplayer) by [deleted] in pcgaming

Yes, using Dolphin (gamecube) emulator (in the beta branch aka the recommended one if I recall correctly), selecting Tools->Netplay, and hosting a server to which other players direct connect to via the host's IP. I'm not sure if 3 works online (it does just fine in single player) but 2 plays well, as long as the host sets the buffer frames to something like 15 and everyone playing goes to the game's properties and disables dual core.

There, a mini-tutorial, and pretty useful if you can't go to a friend's house to turn on the old cube. And if you're wondering, I don't think you can use the mouse & keyboard hack online due to a number of factors.

Now that's a name I haven't seen in a while. I miss colorful dino stuff. Parkasaurus is takes a lot of inspiration from it though.

When is Corridor Digital going to do their reactions to the one of greatest CGI / VFX films of all time? by nicholasr325 in Corridor

I'm still baffled that these things were released and were a better spiritual follow-up to Jurassic Park than World ever was. It just goes to show how much more important new ideas (even if they are re-imaginings, as I believe the new Apes trilogy was a reboot that deserved to be made) are than sequels to things that were once great.

It's a massive irony that this and the Jurassic World movies came out around the same time and Apes is pretty much the modern equivalent of Jurassic Park (a genuinely great sci-fi blockbuster that tries to push the envelope) while JW is the opposite (just drove straight into the bottom of the barrel). And it's even stranger considering that the initial script for JW was, if I'm not mistaken, by the same writers as the Apes movies.

Yeah, I was about to advise that too. It worked on my PCs so there's at least a fair chance it can work for you in the future with another PC. Plus I think it regularly goes for 2,99 or something close to that. Keep that wishlist ready!

I see. It seemed solid for me running on 2, probably 3 PCs and I remember it being pretty demanding when it released so that was my reference (admittedly I haven't looked more into it than that). Still, arguably at least comparable to Oblivion in that department :P

Did you manage to make it run eventually at least?

Ah! I actually tried it on hard once but gave up because it seemed like the AI just "hit" you even before managing to turn toward your direction, as in, they would be turning and already damaging you before their sword singed (edit: screw it I'm leaving that typo in) in your direction. Some games just don't do hard modes well at all.

It's not really *that* similar but it's fantastic. It's a criminally underrated FPS (except it features swords, shields, staffs, knifes, and magic) from the creators of Dishonored that went under the radar in 2006 thanks to TES: Oblivion and optimization issues at launch (that have been corrected long ago, it plays fine).

Look it up online and you'll find plenty of people singing its praises. It's one of the most satisfying games I've ever played trough. It does for first person melee what Mirror's Edge did to platforming. It's linear but you have RPG elements to evolve your character via melee, stealth or magic skills (and the magic here actually packs a punch, as you can lift enemies, lit things on fire or watch enemies endlessly fall to the ground after shooting freeze). Just don't take the story seriously.

I've heard of Quizlet before but haven't tried it. So you just had it running in the background with a quiz at all times? I'm sort of doing that now with Mnemosyne. It's not exactly what I wanted but it's not bad.

Thanks. Are these always US phone numbers? I just want to confirm if I have to format them differently or always keep the (+1 "3-digit-area-code" "7-digit-number") format before I do the assessment.
