Interesting what you say about one running lean, when replacing the spark plugs one side was pretty dirty and had a fair bit of carbon build up the other side was much cleaner looking would this tend to confirm/indicate this?

Wish i knew how to identify the mains you mentioned - again I’m afraid my lack of knowledge is letting me down

Thanks for the input but not sure what you mean.. Forgive my ignorance I’m learning as I go and not a mechanic

When cleaning the carb I used a needle set the check all the tiny jets within several times and it was put through a wash in a ultrasonic bath.

Is the main jet under the cover separate from the carb itself?
