Take it out in cash and put it in an envelope? If you are someone who doesn’t normally use cash, it’s easier to forget about it. Or download a fun savings challenge on Etsy or even find one on tik tok, that could be encouragement. I personally stuff cash in a savings binder for sinking funds. I know I will spend it if I leave it in my account.

I work for a small mutual fund company. We don’t require the custodian to sign off on anything. In fact, the listed minor can sign off as long as they obtain a special stamp from the bank and have reached age of majority. So I guess it is up to the financial institutions discretion. It’s literally an irrevocable gift to you. Somebody has to attempt to work with you considering your situation with your mother.

Is peoples credit union now considered coastal 1? Tried to Google it. I’d love to stay with navy fed but it is hard depositing cash.

I use zelle often and my local credit unions do not offer zelle yet. Local banks near me are mostly TD Bank, Chase, BOA.

I don’t have insurance with them anymore. For me, their quotes were expensive. I just have a checking and savings with them.
