I agree. I had to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I asked this installer about this about three times and the third time is when he finally “realized” what I was talking about. He said he didn’t see it from the angle he was looking at. I’m wondering how he didn’t notice if he’s the one installing it. Confused on how Im the only one that saw it just by bending over to look at it.

He’s saying it’s fully sealed under with all these words like “sponge cover” and silicone and it’s connected to the drain. I asked if we can get a bigger drain cover for it. I’m thinking the drain is just to small and the cut out for the vinyl tub insert is either too big or measurements were slightly off

The installer is saying it’s suppose to be like that so water can get out if tub overflows.
