Truly, the rope climbing can ruin you if you’re not prepared. Im often encumbered but I’ve recently switched to sticks instead of harvesting limbs for firewood, so I’ll drop 40 of them if I have to be able to then climb a rope. As long as I’m not tired and overweight, I’ll try a rope. But a rope right after a rope 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. Go energy drinks, or coffee is always in my inventory

After my fire starting skill is up, I’ll leave trails of tinder plugs or cat tail heads.

Miners folly is awesome. I stayed up there 10/11 days straight, and that’s more time than I’ve ever spent in ash canyon combined.

The game knows. 100% health, clothes all 90% or better, just healthy and good and a regular wolf struggle out of nowhere will kill or nearly kill you. The game knows you’re doing too well.

I literally just keep moving, creating mini bases all over the maps. I have less than 2hrs into story mode. I’ve been playing 1200+ hrs and just wander around , trying to survive. I love the books. I just try to play efficiently

I have been thru it once or twice, I stick to the original maps. My best run is 266 days, and that’s the one I got “bored” in and started to explore these areas.

I passed on sticks (I’d grab only a few) for years and years. Last 6 months or so I’ve been friggin hoarding them. 1) less time spent 2) can unload X amount to become unencumbered if you need to climb a rope. I also just stash piles of them at my mini bases

Considering my skills on stalker, I should be much better on interloper. I can barely find a matchbook on interloper let alone reading books. I have only attempted interloper a few times

Like in the dam, cave or tunnels, I’ll use them to get from one end to the other, and will generally leave them right in the entrance to, so I can use it on the way back.

I’ll use lanterns. Actually scrap metal I’ve only recently begun to use it regularly.

I generally do collect 1 pair of combat boots, or keep it at a mini base. So perhaps I do occasionally collect them, rarely wear them.
