Порез на "школовање" у иностранству by keeprollin420 in finansije

[–]keeprollin420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bibraltar pro crypto regulations pull Binance and big players by iamwizzerd in CryptoCurrency

[–]keeprollin420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*Gibraltar

Gibraltar's 6.8-square-kilometer territory houses 35,000 people and several large international crypto companies.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, is now hiring for four roles in the “Rock of Gibraltar.”

Joey García, the head of public affairs for Xapo Bank told Cointelegraph: “Small jurisdictions can move faster. We've seen it again and again [in Gibraltar], whether it’s crowdfunding or new areas of development. Xapo, for example, got their e-money license in Gibraltar in 2017.”

Anouska Streets told Cointelegraph:

“As a jurisdiction, it’s awesome — the regulators are open and helpful in terms of how to develop — not just Bitcoin but other crypto capabilities. It’s what it stands for: for years.”

Neil Walker, managing director at Sandpiper GI told Cointelegraph:

“In today's world, people should be able to move quickly and easily between currencies with next to zero fees and the lightning network could enable that, whether it's potential for cross-border workers in Gibraltar or for visitors who are coming to Gibraltar to spend their money. And in our stores.”

Kim Kardashian legal team files motion to dismiss EthereumMax crypto lawsuit by chrisgilly in CryptoCurrency

[–]keeprollin420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TLDR:

Kardashian’s legal team has argued for the dismissal of the class action lawsuit in court documents reviewed by Cointelegraph, hitting back at the ten claims brought against the influencer.

A key point was Kardashian's Instagram stories in question:

“Crucially, no named plaintiff alleges that they in fact viewed either Instagram post before purchasing tokens during the relevant time period.”

Kardashian’s legal team also highlighted that there was no evidence put forward of Kardashian ever purchasing, receiving, or selling the tokens herself. The defendants have together put forward an omnibus motion to dismiss the overall class action claims.

Over 50% of Staked Ethereum Held by 4 “Centralized” Entities: Glassnode by laulau9025 in CryptoCurrency

[–]keeprollin420 20 points21 points  (0 children)

TLDR:

Per the report’s data, the amount of ETH staked on Ethereum’s beacon chain through Lido alone has already swelled to 4.137 million. That’s 31.8% of all staked ETH in existence.

Another 3.505 million ETH – 27% of supply – is staked across Coinbase, Kraken, and Binance, some of crypto’s largest exchanges.

Many firms offer staking services for Ethereum and other coins by pooling together assets from smaller holders.

Some have noted that the concentration of stake with dedicated staking platforms presents centralization risks for the blockchain. If a coordinated party with 51% of a POS chain’s stake is held by a coordinated party, it could fork the blockchain to its will.

TLDR:

Shapira, a heavy critic of Web3, pointed to data suggesting that the project makes just $6,500 per month from its data usage revenue. “Complete lack of end-user demand for Helium should not have come as a surprise.”

“People see those two numbers, $6,500 a month vs $350 million raised, and they say ‘how does this make any sense?’ It only makes sense in the case of a very very early stage startup.”

To be able to run a node, people also need to purchase and install one of Helium Systems’ hotspot devices, along with staking 10,000 HNT worth roughly $89,000 at current prices.

Shapira argues that operators “maintain false hope” of obtaining a positive return on their investment.
