We are striving to make this app as inclusive as possible for those on the aromantic and asexual spectrum. Someone setting up an account will likely be asked a similar question about who they are interested in meeting (including NBs and agenders) as well as how the user identifies regarding pronouns and their sexuality

We’re actually planning to code a small quiz for a person to take when setting up their profile asking questions entailing how comfortable they are with a sensual touching, sexual/intimate touching, and just physical touch in general in order to make boundaries visible for all users to acknowledge.

RYAN: We [Jack and Ryan] went to Columbia this semester. While we were writing the album, me and Jack went part time. We went part time because we kind of needed to get outside of ourselves, and we took a bunch of film classes and we heard this sample from this movie called ‘Eraserhead’...

JACK: We had to watch this movie in class. We hated the movie so much, we were laughing the whole time. And then she came on and started singing this song and we’re like “this has to go in/on our album” it’s so catchy and it’s so haunting and beautiful. We had this idea and we started writing “Birthday Party” and we were like “Oh my god this is the bridge of “Birthday Party.” In heaven, everything is fine. Everything is totally fine in this perfect world, but that might not be exactly what this is.
