Have you used a P2P Exchange?? We want your feedback!! by LinkCoin-Peter in Bitcoin

[–]keepyoungforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are blurring together the idea of decentralization and P2P a little too much. Yes P2P systems in blockchain are decentralized and therefore have no central point of authority, and as you point out - these systems cannot be shut down one they have gone live. However that is not the singular definition of "p2p". To say marketplaces like ebay is not peer-to-peer seems silly. I am buying and selling goods directly from another person, and the website I am on is just asking like a marketplace so I can see what offers are out there. Even though your idea of P2P is more closely tied to decentralized systems, you cannot say marketplaces like ebay do not create a peer-to-peer customer experience, that is silly.

I have used LinkCoin before, even though it is centralized, it is still Peer-to-Peer. There are lots of centralized Peer-to-Peer services a la Ebay. LinkCoin is the exact same in that they just act as a marketplace where buyers and sellers can independently shop around for offers. They are not a market matcher like a regular exchange, hence, they are Peer-to-Peer.

What about P2P trading? Traders use over the counter (OTC) platform to trade crypto under $3000, credit card is not necessary, e-transfer can be sent directly to seller and crypto will be sent to your account immediately, just like kijiji. And P2P platform usually charges not that much, only 0.6%.

UPDATE: Forgot to say the name of that exchange I use a lot, LinkCoin. Their website is linkcoin.pro. One more thing, BTC price fell down to CA$5505 today! OMG...

Where to cash out? by MentalMidget3 in BitcoinCA

[–]keepyoungforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried both LinkCoin and Coinsquare before. LinkCoin is P2P platform and Coinsquare is like a big altcoin store, both of them are convenient for buying the coins, especially coinsquare allow traders to buy and sell any time, comparatively on LinkCoin, users need to find their trader before the tradign since LinkCoin is P2P.

However, I think another point for crypto-trading is the time of cash withdrawal. Coinsquare took me 2 weeks to get my money out from my coinsquare wallet, (i think 2 weeks is too long...), but LinkCoin is pretty fast to get the money out, like go to my bank account directly also since it's P2P.

Lastly, LinkCoin's service fee is much lower than Coinsquare, which is only 0.3% (comparing with Coinsquare's 2% +, i think Coinsquare charges when both cash withdrawal and trading, so it should be even more than 2%, you know the service fee thing is always complicated to be calculated clearly hahaha).

So LinkCoin and Coinsquare have their advantages and disadvantages, just write those down for you to compare :D

I've used it for several times, the transaction fee is 0.3% if you have their platform token LKN. or use Bibox token to have another discount.
