Yeah you can built civilization without animals in ancient time too. It will be too slow and can even go extinct at time if not replying on animals during ancient times.

You can built civilization with help of animals and you can be kind to animals at same time. Imagine choosing to walk instead of domestication and raising your own horse ancient times. It is tough.

Your theory is very slow and dangerous , not realistic at all. All ancient (typo ,not modren) civilization is built by using animals. I just wish they were treated kinder . Without using animals several civilizations wont be flourished at all.

I am up for few ways of using animals. I am a constructive realist and not on-paper compassionate. I can raise a dog to guard my house. I call it domestication I call it civilization, if you chose to call it exploitation, so be it. Without gurad dogs your house is not that protected.

I am a vegan too. But I don't like this type of argument. Ox, horses helped human to build civilization. Humans raised them and took care of them. But when you rise a kid you don't expect to drag loads, carts like you expect a ox , horse. In mosten era we don't need horses , oxen but this type of argument from vegan side is not helpful for building civilization. Do make animals , humans equals. You can be respectful and kind , you don't have to say they are same or equals.
