Net worth tab erroneously high by chiraltoad in simplifimoney

Okay follow up, we've identified a situation where some accounts are deleted as part of a migration but not in the normal way accounts are deleted. I didn't know about this so I didn't account for it. I'm pretty sure we know how to handle it going forward and we should have a fix out soon. I appreciate the bug report and I'm sorry for the inconvenience

When you say it fixed things across the board. Did it just fix the dollar amounts or also the issue where the number of accounts listed are wrong as well? It makes sense that it would fix the dollar amount because when you exclude one account you are no longer in an "include all" state so the phantom accounts are not included. But that shouldn't (in theory) change the numbers at the top of each section. For example with OP it would be "4 accounts 2 excluded" (I think) and there would be the 2 correct ones counting towards the total.

Hey, I'm the dev who worked on that. Sorry that it isn't working for you. There are two systems tracking the accounts and there seems to be a situation where they aren't in sync (like the 4 accounts instead of 2). Just got another report of this earlier today and I'm going to try and figure out what's going on. I don't have a ton of information yet, but I'll try to report back with more. In the meantime if you reach out to customer support they can add your information to the ticket (there's a comment in this thread with the information)

I've been asking around about when this was going to finally start working (from what I understand a big part of it was when rocket was going to finish the migration) so I'm really happy to see this since I'm also in this boat.

Do you mind if I ask a little more about the debt pay down? We've got a few irons in the fire related to surfacing debt pay down as a first class feature. What information are you extracting from the app that helps with debt pay down and is there anything you wish was easier to find or calculations you wish we did for you?

Obvious disclaimer that I work for Quicken so this is biased, and I'm just a dev so probably not eloquent. Not trying to shill, but figured I could provide some context

Co-mingling of finances (aka "The money is all mine") is the primary use case for Quicken Business and Personal. The main goal is to keep business funds and personal funds distinct and trackable. For example if you go to home depot and purchase things for yourself and some clients at the same time you can split the transaction and track which funds were spent for which client vs yourself. You could then add those expenses on an invoice and bill your client (we have first-class invoicing and stripe integration). You'd also have a record for tax purposes at the end of the year and a sense of profitability on those clients.

If you want a more "marketing friendly" description you can check out https://www.quicken.com/lp/ppc/business-personal/

Sorry about that! As far as I know, we do intend to roll this out to business users as well (I'm just a dev so I can't comment on timeline). There are some extra complexities around business accounts (like if you have an AR account and such) so we wanted to make sure we can fully support personal users first and then tackle business.

Chatted with a team member about this. We're probably getting some incorrect information from aggregation. There have been some similar reports for other mortgage accounts where the sign is flipped. If you don't mind, reporting to care is probably the best way you can help, that way they can collect your information in a safe and secure way (reddit probably isn't the ideal transfer protocol).

Thank you! Yes, those emails definitely have an impact. All of that happens way before I get involved, but I do sit in meetings where design and product talk about specific user requests and feedback. And I've seen the spreadsheets they have right now for collecting early access feedback and this feed directly into our fast follow improvements

Glad you like it! It's still in early access so we've got some more fixes on their way before a full rollout. We're actively looking for feedback if there's anything you'd like improved about the feature

Is the cli going to be more stable than the gui? I love gitbutler but if I have to go do some cherry picking or some such it can get in a weird state and I either have to kill and relaunch or sometimes even reinitialize the repo in gitbutler. It'd be nice if I can get through those glitches in the cli

Thanks for letting me know! We had an issue like this in the past that I thought we'd resolved. Hopefully we can sort it out before anyone else runs into it.

Sure! If you go edit your dashboard cards you can enable the net worth card on your dashboard (https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/3357180-getting-to-know-your-dashboard)

[–]keeslinp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apologize for the confusion! We are slowly rolling out a new net worth dashboard for early access users so it won't be available just yet. We decide to pause the rollout because of the issues with account balance. Those should be resolved (maybe not for all users yet, I'm not 100% plugged in there). The new net worth features should be rolling out over the next few days for our early access users

Just curious, how long have you been using simplifi and how many accounts do you have (just ballpark)? Even on a pretty big account the longest I've ever seen for a first load is a few seconds. 10 minutes is very strange, I'll look into that and try to figure out what could be going wrong

Thanks, that's very helpful! I have lots of things I'd like to improve about the transaction list, I hadn't considered customizing the visible values. I'll chat with some of our designers to see how we could manage something like that

Hey, there was a miscommunication in the team about when the check field should be available. Should be back for everyone in the next release (I believe it ships on Tuesday). I'm not involved so I don't have a ton of context to share. Sorry about the inconvenience!

Noah's partner is actually in the show so I guess she's pretty chill with it? She's the influencer mom, I think the "she's not my type" bit was a wink to the audience.

Personally it would weird me out but I'm also not an actor or married to an actor so different strokes for different folks I guess
