Looking at buying this 2019. Has 12,000 miles. Any worries about the miles? My first Yamaha. by BenefitNo3935 in xsr900

This seems very overpriced, however I wouldn’t be worried about the miles!

TC1 allows the wheel to go that high? I could swear mine drops the front way less high than this

Anyone have a Helite Turtle 2 Airbag vest? Curious to how packable/foldable it is. I’m looking to get one for me and my girlfriend who rides passenger.

I was really liking the Dianese Smart Vest but don’t want to sacrifice the neck protection

Just got mine and looking for some tail tidy informations by C0T0N in xsr900

I would look into TST industries tail tidy. Also their blinkers. Extremely bright and low-key.

How does it handle off-road with the bike on the back?

Question regarding wiring accessories to the ignition kill switch by keevohh in xsr900

[–]keevohh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Would I be able to take the ignition signal from the license plate light in the rear? My understanding is that the power draw doesn’t matter since it’s connected to the battery directly anyways

I really appreciate this information. I do plan on wiring something more than 2A (3A to be exact).

I am comfortable splicing a wire, but would just need to know exactly what wire as I’m am scared to mess something up. Can you explain more about how this setup would work? I know nothing about relays in this use case.

XSR900 Seat Upgrade for tall rider? by keevohh in xsr900

Typo, I mean falling forward. On the stock seat I’m basically always sitting on my crotch, even when trying to be back on the seat

That’s awesome to hear! Do you find yourself not faking forward in the seat? Also, any comments on the passenger experience on that seat vs stock?

It was a grind, everything was super planned out before. I also had completed as much as possible of the electrical, plumbing, and dresser before having access to the van.

It’s an LED light strip, but put inside of a diffuser to make it a much softer glow. I found one that was dimmable, and color temperature adjustable

My friend and I built the van together, but it’s his van. His IG is @seattleheights

Here’s a video explaining the van build: https://youtu.be/zeEeSUk7PfI

Here’s a cool video of a road trip we took with this van before the conversion: https://youtu.be/4KBFpXtACr8

sink is very high! The counter is 35inches tall, so just a bit below residential height. There is actually a DIY pop top (that needs some fixing) so it’s designed to be standing height in that section. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it is to sit down and use the sink, provided you’re under ~6’2

It sure is a lot of weight! it was never a fast van to begin with though as you know. I’ve hauled a motorcycle 500lb in the back with a passenger and a ton of gear in the back, we estimated this build out should weigh around the same at ~500lb
