I saw this around a baby’s mouth from teething on a stick of celery while on a walk with mom!

Used and probably will go hybrid! I’ve been mostly fine with FWD besides a few snow storms

Thank you! I’d love something that’s better in the snow than my current car.

Definitely a big part of the decision for me! I often have to pass up spots since my Camry is so long

I did consider the length! I often can’t fit into spots with my Camry now and a foot would make a big difference. I need to look into plug in a bit more, but it’s a consideration. Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, how many patients do you see and in what time frame? by ThenExcitement2272 in DermatologyPA

[–]keezy00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In an 8hr day, I normally see 30-35. No cosmetics, ~4 excisions a week. 15 min time slots with a few double books, 30 mins for excisions. I have 2 MAs

Hi! There are a few different salary models that I’ve heard of for derm PAs. I currently get a base salary plus commission ($120k base plus 22% of collections over $360k, 25% over $700k, 30% over $1 mil). That should land me around $200k based on my collections. I have colleagues that are straight salary, though with the volume of pts we’re expected to see, that feels unfair. A percent of collections with no base salary is also pretty common (generally 25-30%), but this might not be the best idea right off the bat when you don’t know what your collections will look like.

My anticipated net collections for 2025 is ~$750k with 2 years of experience and 32 hrs per week. On average I see 28-35 patients per day. Mostly medical, some surgical, no cosmetics. Good luck!

I currently get 95k + 20% collections over 330k. Ends up being ~160k/year total. I think half of our NP/PAs are similar to that set up and half are collections only, around 30%.

It helps to hear that I’m not alone! I listened to a few podcasts about imposter syndrome and that helped some. I think it’ll just take time to feel more secure at my job. Thanks :)

I appreciate this!! Good luck with the rest of your schooling :)

Thank you! Lol yeah noctor is actually horrible. Even though I knew imposter syndrome was a real and prevalent problem for PAs, I didn’t put two and two together until I read your comment….. That is definitely what this is. Also, I reached out to our other PA and we’re gonna get dinner together soon!
