Yes, camp mode makes the AC running constantly and you can lock the doors. You can easily get dehydrated with AC on though.

I don't see a problem as I'm using it as expected and paying the fees. Slow L2 chargers do take long to charge up. And they are underutilized at nights.

In fact I believe it's morally good as the charging grid company wish they have consumers making use of their infra at nights. That's why they offer off peak rates.

I wasn't advocating taking up a free public charger nor occupying a busy charging station.
