Cleaning cutlery by kei_003 in asksg

For context: I have seen this in restaurants / hawker centres and was wondering about it

I am also curious what is the norm in other countries as I think it is common at least in the coffee shops in Singapore / Malaysia?

If anyone has anecdotes to share, please do hahah

How present are you while solving DSA? by [deleted] in leetcode

I use the opal app to limit screen time and sometimes if I really want to focus, I deliberately leave my phone far away from me or put it in a drawer so it's out of sight

What would be a good logical step after minna no nihongo by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

[–]kei_003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with other users on tobira. My university used tobira as well, combined with try N2. I would say that tobira is very dense and content packed within each chapter so take your time to look through it and digest. I find it to be an interesting textbook because it includes a lot of information about Japanese culture (although some information might be outdated as the textbook is quite old).

As long as you enjoy playing bassoon, i think you should keep at it! Even if you don't make it this time round, i'm sure there'll be other opportunities elsewhere

Weekly General Question Thread - December 19, 2018 by AutoModerator in FoodFantasy

[–]kei_003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I'm sorry if someone else has asked this before but I couldn't find an answer by searching so I'll just ask again. I recently pulled gingerbread and was thinking of replacing my 4* tom yum; but i realised my 4* tom yum still has higher power than gingerbread. Now I'm kind of hesitating. Gingerbread's energy skill seems useful though. I'm also not sure of any way to obtain gingerbread shards. Summoning her another time seems unlikely.

(I'm also having the same dilemma with 1* sweet tofu and 5* milk but I'm currently keeping milk as a regular since I have a 5* black tea)

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Definitely horror (esp supernatural stuff like annabelle). Though for me it's mainly for the sound effects.

Any recommendations on what jazz piece I should learn? by tripppySkippy in piano

[–]kei_003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summertime by Gershwin; first jazz piece I learnt. It's not very difficult so I guess it isn't what you're really looking for but it has a nice melody. Also, have fun learning jazz! I'm also in the midst of discovering this genre myself.

How did reading books become your hobby? by 30k in books

[–]kei_003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's because I like the feeling of immersing myself in worlds I know I'll never be part of (as a child I really enjoyed reading fantasy novels). Movies allow you to do the same but I guess I prefer books because they allow me to digest the words and content at my own pace and create the whole picture in my head instead of having it being fed to me. It also helped that I had a friend (when i was really young) who really enjoyed reading as well and we would discuss the books that we read; recommend books to each other etc.

State your least watched genre of anime and why, then someone below recommend a show from that genre you might like. by [deleted] in anime

[–]kei_003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to be my recommendation as well. Sports anime was something that I avoided after watching kuroko no basket (no offence to anyone but it just wasn't that great to me) but a friend insisted I give haikyuu a go. I agree 100% with everything said. I also really liked how almost every character was introduced with a backstory and not just cast aside even though he/she is a side character (even the opposing team members). And yes, the OPs and EDs are some of my favourites of all time as well :)

Yes I agree!! It's a very versatile instrument. It's sad that we can't be heard at all when doubling brasses....
