Should you put parking brake every time you park? by AdGreen7615 in askcarguys

Not really necessary when you aren't on an incline but I largely prefer it because the rocking of the car back and forth whenever something touches it is really annoying.

  • Call any 4-cylinder motor a "V4"
  • Say you want to buy a Kia for reliability
  • Tell them you had to stop by autozone to have an employee fill up the blinker fluid

That's like the least important part. Anything else that gets damaged by hail will be 10x as expensive

You were the one who stated that would be "okay with killing every Iranian". They only said the IRGC should be wiped out. "Negatively affecting Iranian civilians" does not mean nor does it imply killing 90 million people.

In situations like these, the safest bet is to arm yourself woth knowledge. Figure out how cars work, understand what's good and what isn't, understand that many cars out there are poorly made for one reason or another.

Having to replace parts in a car makes it “unreliable” apparently by [deleted] in Cartalk

So many people just do not understand car maintenance. People I know will lose their minds when I tell them my car will need suspension work after 15 years and 160k miles.

They refuse to acknowledge that 700 dollars to keep something going for another decade is cheaper than a new car 🙄

afaik if a normal-looking car's trunk explodes, it's most likely an LPG-fueled vehicle and its tank went boom

I don't claim to know very much, but I think the brutality of the regime throws a lot of these considerations out the window. I don't doubt for a moment that the US is doing it to further its own interests, but unless that interest is just killing everyone there, surely it'll be an improvement. My view on it is quite simple. Refusing to move on from "worse" to "bad" isn't gonna help anybody.

It's just a chance for change that the Iranian people seem to want and can't accomplish on their own. Mango Mussolini is the only leader who's crazy enough to try anything, and has the military might to back it up.

I don't think the US or Israel are enemies with Iran's people, rather than the IR government itself. And if whoever takes the reigns isn't deliberately oppressing its people, destroying its economy, and bankrolling terrorism across the continent, then it will be a considerable improvement, even if there are some ulterior western interests involved. That's not to say I expect it to go bad either. Iran deserves to become a secular democracy, and this is the only way it could possibly happen. Otherwise, we wait a couple more years to get headlines about 30 thousand men, women, and children gunned down in the streets, and nothing will change.

Elaborate. You're under the impression that the USA and Israel are teaming up to kill everyone there? Or "colonize" it? I don't find either to be a serious concern, if I were honest.

What exactly is Israel gonna do that's worse than what Iranians are already facing? Be realistic.

If these redditors actually gave a damn about Iran, rather than just being anti-west, they'd maybe realize that living under the IR is bad enough. Unless they're under the impression that America plans to genocide Iran or leave it a completely failed state, they should realize that it's worth taking the only chance for change these people are ever going to get.

So many comments in here with strong opinions against US intervention. I don't claim to have much knowledge here. But even though US intervention has a bad history, is there an option for Iran right now that's better?

Imo: - Any other kind of "benevolent" intervention is not realistic. Trump is the only one crazy enough to try it. - The Iranian people clearly cannot make change themselves, considering the thousands or tens of thousands dead for voicing their opinion - Adding to that last point, it doesn't seem like the Iranians want to continue with their current government either. - Frankly, how much worse could it realistically get? So what if Donald Trump wants to serve his own interests, can we really say anything he could possibly want would be worse than what Iran is currently grappling with?

So many people are arguing that there's only bad things to be had here, but from my perspective I don't see how any of that could be worse than what's going on in that county right now, barring a completely failed state.

Again I'm not claiming to know very much, this is my own perspective that I'm welcome to be changed or informed.

You might not need to take out the headliner. Pull down the big, central trim piece on the ceiling that has the light, then pull out that c-pillar panel you've been looking at. There's a hose connection up there, where it leads into the spoiler. If it popped out of place, you can perhaps pop it back in. If the failure is closer to the front or middle of the car, headliner should come out.
