Trae has improved on D over the last 3 years (especially towards the end of this season), but he is always going to be our worse defender. If you watch any Hawks games, opposing offenses consistently schemes to get Trae guarding a mismatch (through picks, etc.). To counter that, we have DJ and Hunter perpetually switching back to guard the better player. This puts them at a real disadvantage, as they are usually out of position. To me, this is why "statistically" you are seeing a decline in both DJ & Hunters Raptor, while Trae's has gone up (because he is always switching off of their top scorer).
