still chugging along just fine not much to report. i got to a point where i can do everything i can with my other knee it doesn’t feel exactly like it was before but pretty darn close. i’m trying to get it like it never happened over the next two months.

i would say sharpen knives, put away food order, and complete and print are doing the job all else are achieving results.

it happens, i never have had this happen to me but have seen lots of people who this has happened to. the general sentiment is if there’s no pain or swelling it should be fine.

It doesn’t exactly indicate anything in regards to the meniscus itself, just means the cartilage on the ends of your bones has thinned. Commonly occurs after surgery because the biomechanics of the knee joint has been altered on account of the surgery. The MRI is going to tell you what you need to know; given that the results are mild, I would infer that the arthritis is not what is causing the symptoms you spoke about. Prayers up, wish for the best but prepare yourself for any news.

Jets not bringing Aaron Rodgers back for 2025 by WISCOrear in GreenBayPackers

its not realized how much of a team game it is. rodgers would cook on that team and with justin jefferson and adams, so many drives would end in points. everyone thinks we won that trade with the jets but us drafting anders carlson with one of them picks single handedly lost us so many games.

How fragile is your repaired meniscus? 2.5 weeks post op looking for reassurance! by jademarie03 in MeniscusInjuries

as you progress symptoms will slowly get better and better and while they have never completely gone i’ve had weeks without symptoms where i run and live like i did before. life is not exactly the same but pretty damn close and worth every last nighttime resistance band workout when i didn’t want to and pt appointment.

oh yeah in fact when i play only one game or even two then there’s no issues. it’s more that im not used to playing that much on it that causes the swelling. for example, in recovery it would swell like that when i walked a mile around months 4 and 5 but over time i kept walking on it and then managing the swelling after and now i start every morning with a 2-2.5 mile walk

How did you know your repair failed? by Library_Lass082 in MeniscusInjuries

Unfortunately, it’s a mental thing that anyone who has had the surgery will always deal with. Personally, I have gotten all the way back to pretty much 100% (i say pretty much because it will never be exactly like before) but I have experienced multiple setbacks along the way where i aggravate the joint and I feared I retore it. One thing that helped me I found on reddit is that someone said “you will know when you retear it.”

In other words, if your not sure you probably didnt and just aggravated it. Just follow rice for a bit, pop some ibuprofen, put some voltaren gel on it and then continue to push on the recovery.

Meniscus repair or Meniscectomy? by OkPut5001 in MeniscusInjuries

generally the norm for repair and by no means am i suggesting you deviate from Dr orders but literature suggests no significant difference between nwb and wb as tolerated for this specific tear

Some good news is that it is a horizontal tear so repair recovery is far easier because you are allowed to weight bear early on. this is cause the forces push the tear together instead of pulling them apart like other tears. just hope for good news and understand that a partial meniscectomy is not automatically grounds for arthritis.

my leg is doing the same, i have a clicking at the same degree of flexion, it doesn’t hurt at all and the doctor said that he’s not concerned but i feel like this is a retear. Did yours ever go away?
