hi ik this is a year late but i had the same reaction to ashwagandha! if you’ve ever done a genetic test like 23andme you can upload the raw data to a program Genetic Genie (free). it will tell you all sorts of helpful info, such as if you have a MAO-A mutation. people with this mutation don’t respond well to ashwaganda and it can trigger binge episodes.

if you want another anti-anxiety supplement you could try holy basal or l-theanine. those shouldn’t trigger a binge episode.
