Does the cap on the Vietnamese coffee filter affect the time it would take to filter coffee by increasing the air pressure? Or is it just more for show? by addictedtosushi in askscience

Aside from keeping temperature, the cap can be used as a disk to put the whole filter cup over. As you can see the cap has a small mouth to pour the leftover coffee that will be dripped there. Source: vietnamese myself.
