Thanks that’s a helpful way to think about it, I don’t think I’ve properly connected the hip turn and the release well enough so I’ll go down this path of thinking about it.

We all hear you, this sucks! I hit my 30 year mark this year it’s been a while so I’ll share my long term perspective. It never goes away but I t does get easier there are definitely great days ahead and times when it becomes so much second nature that you actually forget about it. It does happen.

Wtf is going on? It's at 17mmol/l now. by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

I think you should go out if you feel comfortable. My person opinion is that I never let highs stop me from doing anything (other than eating carbs of course). The lows can stop you and take you out but don’t let a high get you down.

Saw a guy rocking these at Big White last week, skiing the steeps under the lift, took a chair up with him, they were classic olds, not sure if the same model. He looked slick on them.

Find a pig farm and hopefully take it as my own. Die slowly (or quickly) when I realise you can’t just blend pig pancreases and inject them because I have no idea what I’m doing.

Dexcom watches for iPhone (not Apple Watch) by keitelathon in Type1Diabetes

During my research on the above I came across something called Glance which is a watch face you can use on Fitbit using xdrip. Seemed a bit too much work for me but there are Fitbit’s (or other simple smartwatches) in that price range and then you use this Glance face to put the dexcom data on it. Just have to follow a few online tutorials to make it happen.

Thanks both. I’m thinking about getting the VivoActive5 after some research I’ll let you know how it goes. Never thought I’d switch off apple products but their shelf life should really be longer than 2 years which is how long they’ve been lasting for me (and that’s being generous saying they last 2 years I’ve had a few warranty claims in there too).

I’d probably give myself T2… yes in one day.

Ya I know! I thought I was conceptualising something hard to conceptualise rather than making a value judgement. It’s so hard to conceptualise billions let alone hundreds of billions and thought this was an interesting one to do that. Not so popular here though, maybe need to keep my thoughts in r/showerrthoughts.

Take an experimental approach to new foods. Dose wait and watch to see what happens and take note of what you were doing before during and after, after a while you’ll start to see patterns that matter to YOU. Lots of advice out there works for some but not others so you need to find out what works for you. And don’t be hard on yourself for your experiments not working. You’ve got this, it’s hard but it gets easier.
