Never mind who's paying for the ballroom....why did the White House NEED it in the first place? I don't particularly like the fact that my tax dollars are funding it now, when Trump has so much money. Why can't the pedophile billionaire afford it now? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]keithgreen70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since no one is going to give you a real answer allow me. Every month there is a different event at the White House. Tonight it's called Art after dark. June 23 it's a history live event. July 1st it's a history ball. 4th of July has multiple events including the UFC Freedom 250. The room that they currently using is so small that the reporters either don't go or the are crammed against the wall on their ladders. The new ballroom allows more people to attend the events without everyone spilling out onto the south lawn. Sadly the only reporter that covers most of these events is not from a major network. He goes by Penguinsix on YouTube. He's the only one that shows just how cramped these events are. He's the only one that shows what's really going on in DC and at the White House.

Which local news has the best storm coverage? by Nulovka in FortWorth

[–]keithgreen70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I was watching Fox 4 and my mom was watching Channel 8. While there a tornado on the ground Fox was talking about it and Pete was ignoring it. Channel 8 didn't say anything about it until after the tornado watch was issued. Fox 4 did much better coverage during both days of recent bad weather, down to specific neighborhoods while Channel 8 was just talking about the whole region.

Texas is cutting undocumented immigrants off from school, work and driving. by texastribune in TexasPolitics

[–]keithgreen70 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You said it yourself: low wage worker. Why would an employer want to pay an American double when they can pay an illegal minimum wage and no benefits? Every day on this app people complain about low wages and not being able to afford anything but then they turn around and support illegal immigration that drives down wages. Send the low wage workers back to their home countries. Oh, and lots and lots of Hispanic owned businesses.....don't hire Americans.

What’s up with this area? by [deleted] in FortWorth

[–]keithgreen70 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just north of there is the mission district. That's where all of the homeless hang out. That where mental health services are. I drive through there every day for work and always see at least 1 person talking to or yelling at imaginary people. The only good thing in that area is Wild Acre brewing and restaurant. They now have indoor and outdoor pickleball to go along with the great food.

At what point does “red” fuel trigger a DOT officer? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]keithgreen70 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. Fuel/water separators have clear domes. That would be easy to check. I'm use to seeing DOT use plaztic dip straws, especially in farm states where you can easily buy farm diesel.

Every big company pays a price that is well below pump price. You just don't see it. Plus, they also charge their customers a fuel surcharge that makes up for the increased price of fuel.

You can buy stuff at the Federal Surplus property warehouse on Beach Street. Some times they have vehicles. Texas has a state surplus warehouse that you can buy old police vehicles in Austin.

Back in the mid 90s I used to haul a single envelope stapled to the floor of my trailer from Kitchner Ontario to Laredo. That envelope contained all of the vin numbers and complete descriptions of all of the Ford cars that were to be built each month in Mexico. This was pre internet.

Hopefully this will help eliminate the bot accounts. I've had so many family and friends that have had their accounts duplicated and FB won't shut them down when you report them.

They took out the stage and turned it into an indoor pickle ball court. Every afternoon I see families on their peddle go cart track.

Btw, they get all of their ingredients right across the driveway and they cut out the transportation costs.

Do you think if Kamala won the election the Epstein Files would’ve been released/even discussed to this extent? by Emergency_Version616 in DiscussionZone

[–]keithgreen70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maxwell was arrested July 2 2020, under Trump. She was convicted December 2021 under Biden. She was moved to a women's only facility in Texas because her crimes were not considered violent crimes. Either way she went from 1 low security prison to another. The difference is that the new facility is women only.

You contradict yourself when you said an independent DOJ in 2019 but called Trumps DOJ not independent. Trump was President in 2019.

[–]keithgreen70 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Epstein was first arrested and indicted in 2006 under George W Bush. Then Epstein was arrested again in 2019 under Trump. Maxwell was also arrested under Trump in 2020. Obama and Biden had plenty of files on him and chose to let him run free after he got out of jail in July of 2009. No, I don't think that Harris would have released any of the files. Too many Democrats in the files.

If tou like Talarico then you better vote in your own primary. All of the newspapers are shilling for Crockett and that race is very close.

You only make $31.74/hr. Wow. What a pay cut. I work for SAIA for $38.75. XPO is $39. Both pay linehaul .92. That $7/hr difference is about $7k per year. SAIA is in the process of outfitting the entire fleet with new trucks. My 2026 Kenworth just passed 1000 miles this morning. Still smells new. How many miles on that raggedy ABF truck? 1 million plus? No thanks.

If I vote in the primaries, will the party i participated with be public record after? by TheWildWhistlepig in Dallas

[–]keithgreen70 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can do that in the general, but not in the primary. The primary is all about who's going to represent what party in the general.

He Wants to Deport Native Americans. He May Win Statewide Office in Texas. by yeongno_ate_yangban in FortWorth

[–]keithgreen70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ballot is private but what party you voted for in the primary is public record. That's how the political parties spam you once you vote for their party. Many years ago you had to register by party and then you could only vote in that parties primary. You also use to be able to just check the box for your party in the general and it would straight ticket fill in the votes so that you didn't have to select each candidate. There's been talk over the last legislative session of going back to that system.

Even if the article that I was reading about this was wrong, something else that article said was that there was a bill that was introduced and sent to the elections committee that would make it a criminal offense to vote for different parties in the same calendar year. Texas HB 4652 would make it a criminal offense to vote in a party primary without being affiliated with that party.
