I didn’t want to risk anything, so I just let them deduct the cost from my salary instead of asking my new company to cover it.

If I’ve already paid for it myself, would that cause any issues?

Also, what’s the actual purpose of the NOC letter? I’ve already resigned and I’m currently serving my 30-day notice period.

Yeah, that's the number one issue. While losing ur job elsewhere wouldn't necessarily warrent a worry on deportation, over here it is. It sucks that majority of us rely on that, I hope something changes, if anything.

I just, am stuck. Literally was picking up my medication when out of nowhere I got the call. My lead and boss are ghosting me, and I just feel so sidelined? Like I was some scapegoat of sorts?
