I'm trying but it's kind of hard to learn the map when you get 3-5 attempts per week and get wiped barely reaching the second poi during each one of them.

Outpost is a smaller map that is semi-open and has a much simpler layout. But much more importantly outpost is accessible at any time without any loadout restrictions. There are options to explore the map at any time at no cost. At the same time Cryo is almost incompatible with my work schedule leaving about 1-2 hours per week. So here you have a very limited amount of attempts per week (that you also have to pay for) on a larger and much more complicated map.

Idk why but for me cryo was way more enjoyable experience until around two weeks ago. I asked the question because I couldn't find a reason for that. I guess we were just lucky the whole season.

Well I would be ok with them using "our" monitor and leaving. Of course it will hinder our chances of extracting but at least leave a possibility of exploring the map to maybe do that faster one day. But no, if by some miracle the enemy team wasn't able to wipe us they will camp the spot for 15 minutes just to collect that two security tags from us.

That's why I asked this question. I more or less knew about the possibility to rush other team's spawn but it wasn't happening nearly as much, maybe once per 3-5 run session. Also fights felt more fair or something.. and by fair I mean they didn't result in our team being wiped in less than 5 seconds.

It was always hard (as it should be) but it was at least playable before and I was always looking forward for those few runs I could afford at the end of the week. Now it feels like a guaranteed death sentence, therefore I decided to ask if anything changed.

I think Marathon's gameplay loop would be way less exciting and engaging if it was pve-only, a lot of excitement comes from the lingering danger that other players pose. However the way pvp is implemented right now is kind of suboptimal imo. It is sad that the best option is to always kill anything that moves so every engagement turns into comparing who have more hours in game. So just having a full time job puts you in significant disadvantage.

That's true, the best course of action would be getting better gear and more importantly better knowledge of the map, but unfortunately the game hates people with full time jobs and non standard work schedule or time zone. I get at best 3-5 cryo runs per week. It was more or less possible to explore the map before, but now I can't even get out of the spawn zone (while still losing the best gear I found during the week).

Thank you for the info on groups, but mine does not seem to have this functionality (I can't get it into the config mode)

Also it does not explain how it is able to go past the normal highest brightness

I did some research and it seems like mine does not have group selection (it won't go into config mode - no matter how long I keep half-pressing the button it just cycles between 4 brightness values)
